About the Role:
This role has two key goals. 1) You own the growth of a region, a product line, or a funnel — you are accountable for its growth: the plan, the trade-offs, deep understanding of the market and customers, cross-functional analytics and the result. 2) You, also, raise the analytical bar for the pod you are partnering with, by setting the standard your area holds to and building the frameworks, workflows and tooling that let others meet it in a self-serve way.
It’s a highly cross-functional IC role which involves strategy, analytics, and operations to perform planning, building, and executing initiatives across product, pricing, marketing, customer service, and other departments.
You will own a business goal
- Own the P&L. Carry the target for your corridors and deliver results for key metrics like: customers, transactions, volume, revenue, profitability. You set the plan, call the trade-offs, and report the result - partnering cross-functionally and doing the analysis yourself to find the opportunities and deliver results.
- Diagnose the drivers. Decompose your area to the level where a decision exists - cohort, corridor, rail, send band, tenure - and size every driver in dollars. Deep dive in the data to understand and leverage the nuances in the customer behavior, market and competitive trends to drive business decisions.
- Drive strategic clarity and executional excellence. Generate customer insights and test hypotheses to improve customer and business outcomes. Convert diagnosis into change with Pricing, Product, Marketing and Payments. Build business cases, drive them to a dated decision, execute excellently and then measure what it did.
You will raise the bar
- Define the standard of analytical rigor. Set what good looks like for analysis and make it explicit and scalable for others to follow. Represent Analytics for your pod and mentors others on how to best leverage the tools and analytical frameworks.
- Build what gets reused. Frameworks, workflows, agents and models that let the group work faster and more rigorously without you in the room.
- Commercial effectiveness ambassador: Hold a high bar to ensure effective capital investments for your pod, be the auditor, peer reviewer and guide to identify gaps and suggest improvements for data backed decision making
- Be AI-native. Use AI daily and build your own tooling with it. Lead with examples and set strong foundations for the team.
You have:
- 6+ years in business or data analytics, business management or a similar commercial role: B2C fintech, consumer internet or e-commerce.
- Hands-on deep analytical rigor. You do the analysis yourself, demonstrate deep understanding and translation of business depth to analytical depth when solving problems.
- Owned business goals and cross functional delivery. Demonstrated experience delivering customer-facing initiatives with cross functional teams, from problem definition and requirements through launch and performance management.
- Business case and Experimentation. Ability to identify opportunities, build business cases and experimentation roadmaps end to end (design, execute, measure and decisioning)
- Balance of impact and depth. Bias for action and ability to be scrappy and “get things done” while maintaining the analytical depth needed to make sound decisions.
- Communication. You can defend an analysis to a VP and explain it to someone non-technical in the same week.
Nice to have
- Cross-border payments or remittances
- Pricing, lifecycle marketing or funnel ownership
- Experience building internal tools, agents or automations others adopted
