POSITION OVERVIEW
BDC is seeking a highly organized, proactive and collaborative Coordinator, Strategic Operations to support multiple leaders and teams across the Corporate Strategy function.
In this role, you will be a key enabler of team effectiveness. You will help leaders and their teams advance priorities, coordinate business activities and maintain efficient day-to-day operations. You will contribute to strategic execution while providing the high-quality administrative support required in a dynamic executive environment.
Working across multiple portfolios, you will bring structure, sound judgment and a service-oriented mindset to ensure that priorities move forward, information flows effectively and teams remain connected and focused on results.
CHALLENGES TO BE MET
Enable leaders and teams
- Coordinate priorities, activities and deliverables across leaders, teams and key stakeholders.
- Support the planning and execution of team objectives, business priorities and leadership activities.
- Coordinate leadership meetings, workshops, town halls, offsites and team events, including agendas, materials and logistics.
- Facilitate timely communication and information sharing across the group and with internal partners.
- Support onboarding and integration activities for employees, consultants and new team members.
Support strategic execution and operational excellence
- Coordinate components of strategic initiatives and special projects, bringing structure and disciplined follow-through.
- Track commitments, decisions, milestones, and action items to support timely delivery.
- Drive follow-up on executive decisions and ensure accountability for commitments across teams and stakeholders.
- Support governance processes, including committee coordination, decision tracking and executive reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, trackers and reports to provide visibility on priorities, risks and progress.
- Coordinate planning cycles, reporting requirements and recurring departmental processes.
- Maintain effective team tools, collaboration sites, records and documentation.
- Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes, optimize workflows, and maximize the effectiveness of executives and their teams.
- Leverage digital tools, AI and automation opportunities to simplify administrative and operational processes.
Provide high-quality administrative support
- Manage complex calendars, schedules and meeting logistics, anticipating conflicts and changing priorities.
- Prepare and coordinate presentations, briefing materials, agendas and meeting documentation.
- Prepare and process travel arrangements, purchase orders, invoices, expenses, procurement requests, and vendor-related activities.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
- Provide responsive administrative support to leaders and their teams, as required.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Postsecondary education in business administration or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Relevant experience in coordination, operations, administration, project support or executive support within a complex environment.
- Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple demands and shifting timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- A proactive, solutions-oriented approach, strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality service.
- Ability to influence outcomes and build alignment across teams without direct authority.
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and executive-level expectations.
- Sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Experience using AI and Microsoft Copilot and productivity tools as an asset.
- Bilingualism in English and French.
