POSITION OVERVIEW
At BDC, the only bank dedicated exclusively to Canadian entrepreneurs, you will support Account Managers across Canada by coordinating administrative and client service activities. Your work contributes directly to delivering a consistent, efficient, and high-quality experience for Canadian businesses. This role is suited to individuals who thrive in a structured, process-driven environment, enjoy detailed administrative work, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy. CHALLENGES TO BE MET
- Manage and prioritize work within a queue-based system while meeting established service level standards.
- Support Account Managers with administrative and client service activities across Canada.
- Deliver a consistent and high-quality client experience by processing requests accurately and efficiently.
- Proactively contact clients to clarify information, resolve issues, and advance requests.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and completion of required follow-ups.
- Ensure all communications comply with established policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Apply judgment when interpreting guidelines and determining appropriate actions.
- Adapt to evolving processes, procedures, and technologies.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Contribute to BDC’s mission of supporting the growth of small and medium-sized businesses across Canada.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- College diploma in Office Administration or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative support, client support, coordination, or related role.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including: Microsoft Word ; Microsoft Excel ; Microsoft Outlook.
- Ability to learn and use new technologies and digital tools, including Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enabled tools.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage high volumes of work and multiple competing priorities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
- Ability to work within structured processes and follow established procedures.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience working in a financial institution.
- Knowledge of financing operations, lending processes, or related financial services activities.
- Experience supporting Account Managers, Relationship Managers, or similar client-facing business teams.
- Experience working in a queue-based or service-request management environment.
