Job Title: Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry

We are seeking a dedicated Consultant in Old Age Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Gosport, Hampshire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start.

What will your responsibilities be?

This role involves working within an inpatient setting, delivering specialist psychiatric care to older adults. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and overseeing treatment plans, and providing clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team. The postholder will also participate in ward rounds, clinical reviews, and ensure documentation is maintained in accordance with NHS standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• GMC registration (essential)
• Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (essential)
• Experience in old age psychiatry, particularly within inpatient settings
• Strong leadership, communication, and clinical skills
• A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care
