Job Title: Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry to work full-time hours per week for our NHS client based in London, Greater London. This a Community Mental Health (CMHT) role. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be? 

As a Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry your key responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments. You will evaluate adults to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms. Based on these assessments, you will formulate individualised treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals. 

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. Your role will also involve overseeing therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions. 

You will be responsible for regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals. You will adjust treatment plans as needed to optimise care. Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those in your care. This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach. 

Qualifications and Experiences: 

• You must have a full GMC license to practice.
• Section 12 Approval.
• Clinician Approval Status.
• Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
