The Opportunity

Join a team responsible for maintaining the integrity, accuracy, and governance of a large-scale enterprise technology environment supporting critical global missions. As a Configuration Management Specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining configuration baselines, managing change across enterprise systems, and ensuring hardware, software, and configuration data remain accurate throughout the technology lifecycle.

These roles require multiple experience levels—from professionals beginning their careers in configuration management to senior technical leaders responsible for enterprise configuration strategy and governance. Successful candidates will collaborate with engineering, operations, cybersecurity, and service management teams to improve configuration accuracy, support controlled system changes, and maintain reliable configuration data that enables secure and efficient IT operations.

If you enjoy solving complex technical challenges, improving operational processes, and ensuring enterprise environments remain accurate and compliant, you'll find meaningful opportunities to make an impact while supporting mission-critical operations.

These opportunities are contingent upon contract award

Responsibilities

Depending on experience and level, responsibilities may include:

  • Maintain hardware, software, and configuration records throughout the enterprise technology lifecycle.

  • Monitor and document infrastructure changes across physical, virtual, and cloud environments.

  • Prepare and coordinate change requests, impact analyses, implementation plans, and supporting documentation for Change Advisory Board (CAB) or Change Control Board (CCB) review.

  • Perform configuration audits, asset reconciliations, and compliance reviews to ensure enterprise configuration accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain topology diagrams, system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration standards.

  • Partner with Service Desk, Infrastructure, Engineering, Asset Management, and Cybersecurity teams to maintain accurate configuration and operational data.

  • Analyze configuration trends, identify process improvement opportunities, and develop reporting and performance metrics.

  • Support DevSecOps initiatives through configuration management practices and integration with automated deployment pipelines.

  • Senior-level professionals may lead enterprise configuration governance, mentor junior staff, establish configuration policies, and oversee configuration management strategy across multiple programs.

Required Qualifications

Qualifications vary based on position level.
