The Role
As our Compliance Specialist, you'll safeguard regulatory integrity across marketing, lending, and operations. You’ll be the point person for compliance reviews, audits, and bank partner inquiries—leveraging modern tools (including RegTech and AI) to drive efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Marketing Compliance: Review all marketing collateral (emails, ads, web content, social) to ensure alignment with consumer protection, advertising, and financial regulations.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with federal and state regulations governing consumer lending (marketing, acquisition, underwriting) and servicing; monitor implementation across operations.
- Audit & Bank Partner Support: Provide comprehensive audit responses, documentation, and clarifications to bank partners—ensuring responsiveness and accuracy. (Echoed in fintech-banking compliance interactions observed in job patterns.)
- Tool & System Administration: Utilize platforms such as Alloy, PerformLine, Affinity, Salesforce, and Google Suite for compliance monitoring, training, workflow tracking, and reporting. Leverage AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT for research assistance, content review, and process automation and improvements.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional partners to enhance compliance processes, documentation standards, and training materials.
Requirements
- 3+ years of consumer lending compliance experience—preferably in fintech or banking.
- Hands-on experience with marketing compliance, complaint tracking, and bank/institution audit support.
- Solid understanding of consumer lending and servicing regulations (e.g., TILA, ECOA, UDAAP, FCRA, BSA/AML, and Red Flags).
- Skilled in applying tools like Alloy, PerformLine, Salesforce, Google Suite, and ChatGPT. Comfortable learning and integrating new technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills; adept at managing multiple compliance priorities and stakeholder expectations. Comfortable making the call with internal stakeholders.
Bonus points
- Experience working directly with bank partners in a compliance capacity.
- CRCM or other relevant Compliance Certifications
- Stakeholder management or project coordination experience related to compliance initiatives.
Conclusion
The range of base salary for the position is between $70,800-$99,100, plus equity, and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level and competencies.
