TechOp Solutions International is seeking a Communications Specialist to provide technical writing, editing, and stakeholder communications support to a federal program office. This individual will translate complex research, development, and innovation activities into clear, concise, and audience-appropriate materials for senior leaders, client organizations, and external stakeholders. The Communications Specialist will work closely with program leadership and subject-matter experts to ensure communications are accurate, consistent, and aligned with program objectives
Duties:
- Develop communications materials supporting the enterprise innovation, research, and development strategy and related implementation activities.
- Draft, edit, and format governance documents, decision memoranda, briefings, reports, meeting materials, fact sheets, and executive correspondence.
- Maintain content on the client intranet and program website, Microsoft Teams sites, SharePoint sites, and other approved collaboration platforms.
- Review PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat products for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with client writing, branding, and communications guidance.
- Performs additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, public affairs, business, or a related discipline.
- At least 10 years of professional technical writing, editing, or strategic communications experience.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
- Demonstrated ability to simplify technical or policy information for executive and stakeholder audiences.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a federal environment.
