Commercial Strategy Intern - Drinks & Brunch

We have an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Bachelor or Master student who is interested in making a difference in Category Development at Kraft Heinz!

The Category team is at the heart of our commercial activities and sets out and implements an effective category management for our brands. This includes drafting commercial strategies, identifying brand & category opportunities and regular sparring sessions with the marketing, sales, finance, procurement, and other commercial teams.

The Position

You will support the Commercial Strategy team in developing category plans, identifying opportunities and connecting Marketing, Sales, Finance and other commercial functions. 

As an intern at Kraft Heinz, you will be trusted with meaningful responsibilities from the start. Alongside your day-to-day work, you will have opportunities to develop your professional skills, learn how different functions work together and build relationships across an international business. You are encouraged to ask questions, share ideas and bring a fresh perspective. You will receive support from colleagues while being expected to take ownership of agreed projects and deliverables. 

Depending on your profile, your experience and interests you will be supporting one of the following teams in Amsterdam:

·       Meals (e.g., Honig) & Taste elevation (e.g., Heinz Tomato Ketchup)

·       Drinks & Brunch (e.g., Karvan Cévitam, Venz and De Ruijter)

What you’ll do

• Track performance of our (new) products to support our Retailer and Channel Strategy
• Perform weekly market share and performance analyses.
• Provide the Trade Category Manager with relevant insights.
• Support the Category team in sell-out forecasting process.
• Carry out ad-hoc analyses to benefit from new opportunities.

Job requirements

• Current bachelor’s or master’s enrolment at a European university for at least 50% of the internship period 
• You are nearing the end of your bachelor's degree or pursuing your master’s degree.
• Strong written and verbal English skills 
• Intermediate to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills 

NOTE: EU working rights are required (Either you have EU Citizenship, or you are studying in the Netherlands).

Note: The recruitment process can take 4/6 weeks in total 

What we offer:

• Start date: Mid-January 2027
• Duration: 6 months

• Allowance: €625 per month (40 hrs, 5 days) & full reimbursement of travel expenses 

• Location: Amsterdam, hybrid (occasional home working in alignment with the team)
