As a Commerce Data & AI Consultant, you will work at the intersection of commerce, customer data, artificial intelligence, analytics, and digital transformation to help clients unlock new growth opportunities. 

You will partner with leading brands across retail, consumer goods, technology, marketplaces, and digital commerce ecosystems to design data-driven strategies, build AI-enabled solutions, and transform how organizations make decisions, engage customers, and drive revenue. 

This role is ideal for professionals who combine strong analytical expertise with consulting skills and a passion for applying AI to solve real-world business challenges. 

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

Commerce Data, AI & Business Transformation 

 

·       Define Data & AI strategies, intelligence roadmaps, operating models, and measurable business outcomes across commerce, CRM, customer experience, and growth initiatives. 

·       Assess current customer, marketing, sales, and commerce data ecosystems to identify opportunities for analytics, automation, personalization, and AI-driven transformation. 

·       Apply industry practices across sectors such as retail, consumer goods, marketplaces, high tech, telecommunications, and other customer-centric industries. 

·       Translate business priorities into actionable data, analytics, AI, and transformation requirements, capabilities, and implementation plans. 

·       Help clients establish data-driven decision-making capabilities that improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and commercial performance. 

 

Commerce Intelligence, Customer Analytics & AI 

 

·       Design and implement analytics, customer intelligence, and AI use cases that support acquisition, conversion, retention, loyalty, and revenue growth. 

·       Develop approaches for customer segmentation, personalization, audience intelligence, customer lifetime value, churn prediction, and next-best-action recommendations. 

·       Shape AI-enabled commerce solutions including Generative AI, Agentic AI, intelligent automation, conversational commerce, and customer experience optimization. 

·       Support measurement frameworks covering customer behavior, channel performance, campaign effectiveness, commerce KPIs, and business outcomes. 

·       Help clients leverage first-party data, customer insights, and AI capabilities to drive growth and operational excellence. 

 

Data & AI Functional Consulting 

 

·       Bring functional knowledge of modern Data & AI ecosystems, including analytics platforms, customer data platforms, AI solutions, and business intelligence tools. 

·       Lead or support capability assessments, use case identification, requirements gathering, process design, backlog creation, and solution validation. 

·       Convert business into clear user stories, functional requirements, measurement frameworks, success metrics, and implementation plans. 

·       Partner with strategy, technology, data engineering, architecture, CRM, commerce, operations, and product teams to ensure business objectives are translated into scalable solutions. 

·       Support AI adoption, solution testing, deployment readiness, user enablement, governance, and change management activities. 

·       Consider the broader commerce ecosystem, including customer data, CRM, loyalty, marketing, content, marketplaces, analytics, experimentation, and operational workflows. 

 

Consulting & Delivery 

 

·       Build trusted client relationships through structured problem solving, data-driven recommendations, and practical solution design. 

·       Support or lead workstreams spanning discovery, use case prioritization, solution design, implementation, adoption, and value realization. 

·       Create concise, insight-driven client deliverables and executive-ready recommendations that connect Data & AI initiatives to measurable business outcomes. 

·       Identify risks, dependencies, decisions, and opportunities early, and coordinate stakeholders to maintain delivery momentum. 

·       Contribute to Commerce Data & AI capability building, reusable assets, knowledge sharing, innovation initiatives, and proposals.

• 8+ years of experience delivering data, analytics, AI, customer intelligence, digital commerce, CRM, marketing technology, or business transformation initiatives. 

• Proven experience leading data-driven workstreams across commerce, customer experience, personalization, loyalty, marketplace, or growth transformation programs. 

• Deep understanding of analytics, AI, customer intelligence, performance measurement, automation, and data-enabled decision making. 

• Ability to translate business and commerce strategies into executable data, AI, analytics, and transformation roadmaps. 

• Experience leading consultants, analysts, data specialists, or multidisciplinary delivery teams while managing quality, risks, dependencies, and outcomes. 

• Strong client-facing skills, including workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, executive communication, and business case development. 

• Experience supporting solution shaping, proposals, estimation, capability development, or practice growth initiatives. 

• Ability to connect Data & AI capabilities to measurable business value, growth opportunities, and client transformation outcomes. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field. 

• Certifications in Data & AI, Cloud Platforms, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related technologies. 

• Experience with Generative AI, Agentic AI, Machine Learning, Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), Marketing Technology, or CRM platforms. 

• Exposure to Salesforce Data Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Databricks, Snowflake, Azure, or similar platforms. 

• Knowledge of customer data, personalization, customer journeys, loyalty, CRM, marketing, commerce, and omnichannel measurement ecosystems. 

• Experience in retail, consumer goods, marketplaces, technology, telecommunications, financial services, or another customer-centric industry. 

• Experience in change management, operating model transformation, adoption, capability building, or AI-enabled process transformation initiatives. 

• Experience working directly with clients in a consulting or transformation environment 

• Professional certifications in AI, cloud, analytics, or commerce technologies are a plus
