As a Tech Placement Intern, you will join one of our Hong Kong-based technology teams supporting the local or regional business priorities. You will contribute to meaningful initiatives and gain hands-on experience across a dynamic technology environment. Depending on your assigned team, you may gain experience in areas such as:
- Technology strategy and project delivery
- Business analysis and digital transformation
- Software development and digital platforms
- AI, automation and innovation
- Technology operations and service delivery
You will work alongside business and technology partners, receive guidance from experienced professionals, and develop practical skills in problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, agile delivery, and digital transformation.
As this program supports a range of technology teams, final placement decisions will be based on a combination of your assessed skills and experience, areas of interest, and available opportunities at the time of hiring.
Position Responsibilities
In your assigned team, you’ll have opportunities to:
- Support technology projects and initiatives through research, analysis, planning, coordination, documentation, and status reporting.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, gather information, validate findings, and support solution delivery.
- Analyze data, processes, systems, or platform performance to identify insights, risks, improvement opportunities, and potential efficiencies.
- Assist with the preparation of dashboards, reports, presentations, project updates, requirements documents, or other materials for stakeholders.
- Contribute to process improvement, digital transformation, AI, automation, innovation, or emerging-technology initiatives.
- Support solution development and delivery activities, which may include prototyping, application development, testing, User Acceptance Testing, quality review, or implementation support.
- Track assigned actions, deliverables, risks, issues, or project milestones and communicate updates clearly.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks or a defined workstream, with guidance and support from your team.
- Participate actively in team discussions and contribute ideas that improve technology, processes, digital experiences, or ways of working.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, Business, Finance, Economics, Digital Management, or another related discipline.
- Must be available to work full-time for the duration of the six-month internship program.
- Strong interest in technology, digital transformation, innovation, and the financial services industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret information and identify actionable insights.
- Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast- paced team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
- Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively while taking ownership assigned work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good written and verbal English language skills.
Preferred Qualifications
We are hiring across a range of technology functions, so preferred qualifications will vary by team. Experience or interest in one or more of the following areas would be an advantage:
- Software or application development using technologies such as Python, Java, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Vue, or Angular.
- Data analysis and visualization using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, or similar tools.
- Artificial intelligence, large language models, prompt engineering, machine learning, automation, chatbots, or Intelligent Document Processing.
- Cloud technologies, APIs, modern application environments, DevOps fundamentals, or full-stack development.
- Business analysis, requirements gathering, process mapping, testing, or User Acceptance Testing.
- Project management concepts and tools such as Jira or Confluence.
- Digital platform analytics, customer experience measurement, performance monitoring, or industry research.
- Academic projects, extracurricular activities, or previous internship experience related to technology, analytics, project delivery, or digital solutions.

We are recruiting for H1 2027 Intake: January 2027 – June 2027.
