SMX is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Fiori UX Consultant / Developer to support an SAP S/4HANA Greenfield implementation project for a large government contract in the public sector. As a Developer, you will be involved in many stages of the application lifecycle, from design to deployment. You will convert user requirements into Technical Design Specifications and develop solutions aligned with those designs. You will collaborate with other developers to ensure maintainable development practices and participate in code reviews. This role is remote supporting a Washington, DC based customer and requires a Public Trust clearance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
This project operates in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that leverages Agile/Scrum methodology to quickly build solutions based on customer requirements. You are encouraged to learn new technologies and recommend improvements to business processes. Success in this role will be achieved through your ability to learn quickly and communicate effectively with our clients.
- Configure standard Fiori applications and enhancing Fiori apps based on client requirements.
- Design and develop interfaces/APIs with a focus on reusability and configurability.
- Implement SAP Fiori/UI5 solutions for multiple SAP versions.
- Perform custom development using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Due to the nature of contract requirements, U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a CGI background check are required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
- Minimum of 9+ years of experience in SAP Fiori/UI5 implementations across various SAP versions.
- Hands-on experience integrating backend SAP and non‑SAP applications.
- Hands-on experience in SAP Fiori and SAPUI5 custom development.
- Expertise in configuring standard Fiori applications and enhancing Fiori apps based on client requirements.
- Experience with SAP Gateway and OData Services for UI5 development.
- Hands-on experience with SAP development and CDS.
- Experience in designing and developing interfaces/APIs with a focus on reusability and configurability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with all levels of management.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Certifications related to Application Development or Agile methodologies.
- Experience in problem‑solving and troubleshooting complex issues.
