Job Description Summary:

Aviagen is seeking safety-focused, highly experienced professional Class A CDL drivers to join our transportation team. The drivers' primary responsibilities will be to ensure safe driving practices, ensure their safety and the safety of the public, operate commercial motor vehicles transporting safely and securely, be responsible for compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) safety rules and regulations, and all company policies, and local, state, and federal policies, laws, and regulations. We offer both Home Daily Farm pickup and Team Driver egg delivery opportunities, allowing drivers to choose the schedule that best fits their lifestyle.

Home Daily Driver

• Long-haul transportation opportunities

• Will be trained on farm pickup and will assist with local routes as needed

• Consistent routes and schedules Sunday-Friday 12 pm-2 am (Tuesday and Friday rotation)
• Local transportation operations in Sallisaw, OK
• Driver helpers provided to assist in wrapping and picking up eggs at the farms.

What You'll Do 

• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies 
• Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip inspections 
• Assist with loading and unloading trailers as needed 
• Ensure cargo is properly secured before transport 
• Maintain accurate trip, mileage, equipment, and time records 
• Report maintenance and equipment issues promptly 
• Follow all company safety programs and regulatory requirements 
• Represent Aviagen professionally while interacting with customers and team members

Qualifications 

• Minimum 21 years of age 
• Valid Class A CDL 
• At least 3 years of verifiable safe driving experience preferred 
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
• High school diploma or equivalent 
• Strong work ethic, dependability, honesty, and professionalism 
• All other duties as assigned
