An opportunity is available for a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a major public hospital and well-established mental health service in regional New South Wales.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist looking to join a supportive, multidisciplinary service where you can make a genuine difference to the mental health and wellbeing of children, adolescents and their families.

The Opportunity

You will join an experienced team providing specialist assessment and treatment to children and young people presenting with a broad range of mental health conditions.

The role offers the opportunity to work collaboratively across Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS), community services and hospital-based programs, with scope to develop areas of clinical interest.

You will be supported by a multidisciplinary team including psychiatry, psychology, nursing, allied health and other specialist clinicians.

About You

To be considered, you will have:

• FRANZCP and specialist registration with AHPRA in Psychiatry, or eligibility for specialist registration
• Certificate of Advanced Training in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, or substantial experience in the specialty
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents across community and/or hospital settings
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and treatment skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to quality improvement, education and evidence-based practice

Internationally trained psychiatrists who are assessed as substantially comparable by RANZCP are encouraged to enquire.
