What You'll Do
As a COTA, you will play an important role in helping residents achieve greater independence and participate in the activities that are meaningful to them.
Your responsibilities will include:
Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction and supervision of the Occupational Therapist.
Assist residents in improving activities of daily living, functional skills, mobility, and independence.
Implement individualized treatment plans designed to meet each resident's goals and needs.
Educate residents, families, and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques and strategies.
Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
Monitor resident progress and communicate observations and concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
Provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care.
Qualifications
Current California Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) license/certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Compassionate, dependable, and professional approach to resident care.
Commitment to helping residents achieve their highest practical level of function and independence.
