Our Office Specialists are key players in providing clerical support to caseworkers and supervisors at the Child Welfare agency.
We are seeking two Case Management Coordinators (Office Specialist 2) to join our Albany Child Welfare team.
Summary of Duties
As an employee working within the Child Welfare Program, you will have an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Oregon’s most vulnerable children and families. As a Case Management Coordinator, you will:
- Provide support to field staff, agency staff, foster resource families, providers and the public.
- Completing and verifying data entry to ensure all information entered and uploaded into the Child Welfare OR-KIDS information system is correct.
- Cover all reception and phone duties as necessary within the team when needed.
- Assist with all duties relating to the fleet vehicles.
Minimum Qualifications
A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required for this position.
- Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents;
OR
- An associate degree in any field;
OR
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
- Experience performing front desk or reception duties, including assisting customers, providing information, and managing routine administrative tasks.
- Experience explaining rules, regulations, procedures, or program requirements related to a specific service or program to individuals.
- Experience using computer systems to enter, process, verify, and maintain detailed information accurately.
- Experience communicating calmly and de-escalating clients in stressful and emotionally charged situations.
- Experience working effectively with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds and adapting communication or services to meet different needs.

Working Conditions
- Your work schedule will be Monday - Friday from 8 am - 5 pm PT on-site in Albany, OR; hours may fluctuate based on service needs. Remote opportunities will not be available.
- Your role involves handling sensitive topics related to trauma, abuse, and crises, requiring a trauma-informed approach that is essential to ensure a safe environment.
- You may interact with individuals who have experienced trauma and may have difficulty managing their emotions.
- Be prepared for stressful situations that require quick decision-making to ensure safety for yourself and others.
