Sobre esta vaga de Buyer / Supply Chain & Logistics Spring Intern (Austin) na Exowatt
We're looking for a Buyer / Supply Chain & Logistics Intern to join our Supply Chain & Manufacturing team in Austin for the Spring 2027 term, January 12 to April 16, 2027. Every P3 module is built from thousands of parts: steel, optics, insulation, valves, motors and power electronics, sourced from suppliers across the U.S. and around the world. You'll help get the right parts to our factory floor on time and at the right cost.
This is a hands-on internship. You'll place real purchase orders, work directly with suppliers and freight carriers, and see the parts you buy become hardware that ships to customer sites.
This role is in-person at our Austin facility.
What you'll do
Buy parts. Request quotes, compare suppliers on price, lead time and quality, and place purchase orders for R&D and production materials.
Keep orders moving. Track open orders, follow up with suppliers on delivery dates, and flag delays before they hold up a build.
Coordinate logistics. Schedule inbound and outbound freight, get carrier quotes, and work with our shipping and receiving team to get material checked in and to the right place.
Manage inventory data. Keep part numbers, bills of materials, stock levels and purchase records accurate in our ERP and inventory tools.
Find savings. Analyze spend and lead times, and help identify second sources and better pricing for key parts.
Improve the process. Build trackers, dashboards and simple automations (including AI tools) that make buying and logistics faster and easier to manage.
Own a project. Take on one supply chain problem end to end and present your results to the Supply Chain & Manufacturing leadership team in April.
What you'll bring
Nice to have
Coursework or experience in procurement, purchasing, inventory or logistics.
Experience with an ERP or inventory system (e.g. NetSuite, SAP, Odoo or similar).
Familiarity with freight, shipping terms (Incoterms) or import and customs basics.
Experience in a manufacturing, warehouse or hardware environment.
Comfort using AI tools, scripts or no-code tools to automate repetitive work.
