In your daily job you will:

• Negotiate Material Performance to meet annual targets, material to revenue ratio and business case financials. 

• Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with key suppliers to review performance to targets, address performance gaps, develop future projects and discuss strategic alignment between Supplier and APTIV. 

• Monitor bill of material changes, components prices changes and process changes and if needed propose price list adjustment. 

• Create, issue and maintain scheduling agreements with supply base according to APTIV SCM policies and procedures.  

• Ensure negotiated conditions implementation in operations.  

  Consider quality, delivery service, technology, price and timing of needed products. 

• Collect total information (volumes, prices, specifications and other conditions) for new projects as well as for all other running   projects to define purchasing strategy. 

• Develop new supply base in cooperation with Global Category Manager and GPL for new programs. 

• Monitor quality of suppliers and propose actions to improve supplier quality. 

• Conduct QBRs (Quartely Business Reviews) with key suppliers to monitor and improve performance on quality, service, technology, price, delivery and other aspects. 

• Use category strategy to conduct new parts sourcings. 

• Report results in the required format and make recommendations to regional and global leadership as well as to Sourcing Committee considering the needs and concerns of the individual NA plants. 

• Assure compliance with local procedures, company processes and work instructions. 

YOUR BACKGROUND

Key skills and competencies for succeeding in this role are:

• Completed bachelor's degree

• +4 years of experience as a Buyer

• Experience with the Stamping and Casting category.

• Advanced English

• Strong negotiation skills and excellent communication skills

• Experience in Automotive industry is a must

• Strategic planning and execution
