Sobre esta vaga de Business Operations Specialist na Second Front Systems
About Second Front Systems
Second Front is a venture-backed company on a mission to strengthen global security by accelerating access to emerging technologies for the U.S. and our allies. Founded by Marines who saw firsthand how outdated government acquisition systems held back frontline personnel, we help commercial software companies get mission-critical technology into the hands of government users faster — backed by FedRAMP High, DoD IL2–IL6/JWICS, GovRAMP, UK MOD, and NATO authorizations. Our team is mission-obsessed, collaborative, and decisive, and we’re proud to be Great Place to Work® certified.
About the Role
Second Front Systems is looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and process-driven Business Operations Specialist to strengthen our regional operations and administrative infrastructure in the Netherlands.
This role sits at the intersection of business operations and people operations. You’ll coordinate employment, IT, and administrative workflows with the Head of EMEA and relevant global teams — translating deployment readiness and resource needs into workforce planning and operational staffing. You’ll own regional coordination, documentation, and issue follow-through across People Operations, Finance, Legal, IT, and Security, making sure deadlines, approvals, and open action items get tracked to completion.
Day to day, that means managing Dutch employment administration (contracts, right-to-work documentation, payroll inputs, leave, pension, and benefits), coordinating with payroll, HR, accounting, legal, and corporate-service providers, and maintaining regional operating records, SOPs, entity documentation, and cost-center information. You’ll act as the primary EMEA back-office point of contact across our Dutch and UK entities — the operational bridge between our regional teams, U.S. shared services, and external European providers.
Work authorization & location: Candidates must hold the right to work in the Netherlands and be based in the Netherlands (Remote).
Employment type & schedule: This position may start part-time with the opportunity to grow into full-time, and may be structured as either an employee contract or an independent services/contractor agreement — the specific arrangement, weekly hours, and schedule will be confirmed during the offer process and set out in the engagement contract. Compensation for a part-time or hourly arrangement will be pro-rated accordingly.
What You’ll Do
Coordinate employment, IT, legal, and administrative workflows across EMEA operations, U.S. shared services, and European providers on a regular monthly cadence.
Administer Dutch employment processes: contracts, right-to-work verification, payroll inputs, leave, pension, and benefits, in line with local statutory requirements.
Track external provider deliverables, requests, approvals, and deadlines through to completion; maintain SOPs so the work is repeatable and audit-ready.
Coordinate personnel-security clearance administration between EMEA, U.S. Security, NATO, and customer programs, and flag anything blocking accreditation.
Compile the entity and cost-center data needed for consolidated EMEA reporting, and support vendor onboarding and purchasing approval workflows.
Document and maintain processes that turn recurring administrative tasks into repeatable regional operations with clear ownership.
Translate business unit hiring needs into timelines and skill profiles aligned with mission schedules and customer accreditation gates.
Help resolve misalignment between finance, program management, and HR systems, and keep budget execution in sync with onboarding and deployment timelines.
Partner with operations leadership and People Ops on headcount allocation, role structure, and retention decisions during contract transitions.
What You Bring
3–5+ years of experience in business operations, People Operations, HR operations, or cross-functional subsidiary administration.
Based in the Netherlands, with demonstrated experience supporting Dutch employment administration, payroll coordination, and local HR/benefits provider relationships.
A track record of coordinating external payroll processors, HR platforms, accounting firms, legal counsel, and corporate service providers.
Experience managing employment across multiple countries, legal entities, and contractor models, including employer-of-record arrangements.
Demonstrated discipline in maintaining organized systems for confidential employment records, legal documents, and company data.
Fluent written and spoken English for stakeholder coordination and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting a U.S.-headquartered company through European subsidiaries or Dutch BV entity operations.
Compensation & Benefits
The full-time-equivalent (FTE) base salary range for this position is €65,000–€78,000 per year. If this role is engaged on a part-time or hourly basis, pay will be pro-rated from this FTE range and confirmed as part of the offer/contract. Actual compensation will depend on professional background, technical proficiency, seniority, and regional cost factors, and this role may also be eligible for equity awards and discretionary bonuses as part of a broader total rewards package.
