Main Focus of the Role

This role is responsible for leading strategic initiatives from concept and business case through planning, execution, implementation and benefits realisation. The successful candidate will translate business priorities into clear roadmaps, manage cross-functional delivery, risks and dependencies, and provide insights to support senior stakeholder decision-making

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead strategic initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and planning through implementation and operational handover.
• Develop and maintain initiative roadmaps, priorities, milestones and delivery plans.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across technology, operations, data and delivery partners.
• Manage delivery governance, risks, issues, dependencies, scope and change controls.
• Provide clear delivery reporting, insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Track benefits and business outcomes while supporting operational and commercial decision-making

Technical & Functional Skills

• Strategic initiative, project and program delivery.
• Roadmapping, prioritisation and dependency management.
• Agile, SAFe, predictive and hybrid delivery practices.
• Delivery governance, risk and change management.
• Business case development and benefits realisation.
• Power BI, Tableau and data analysis

Essential Skills

• Proven experience leading complex strategic initiatives or projects end-to-end.
• Strong experience delivering business and technology change within a large, complex organisation.
• Demonstrated capability in roadmapping, prioritisation, governance and dependency management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making capability.
• Ability to coordinate and influence multiple cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and senior stakeholder management skills.

Desired Skills

• Experience developing delivery and performance reporting using Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience supporting business cases, investment proposals and benefits tracking.
• Exposure to annual, quarterly and increment planning.
• Strong commercial and operational awareness.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline.
• PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe certification or equivalent experience.

Ideal Resource

An experienced Strategic Delivery Lead, Senior Project Manager, Program Manager or Business Transformation professional who has independently led complex initiatives from concept through implementation and benefits realisation. The ideal candidate will combine delivery leadership, strategic thinking, governance discipline, analytical capability and strong senior stakeholder management.
