As a Business Development Consultant, you play an important role in supporting profitable growth while helping advisers deliver great outcomes for their clients. Working within AIA’s Distribution team, you build trusted relationships through consistent engagement, proactive service, and clear communication. You partner closely with advisers, Business Development Managers, and internal teams to identify opportunities, navigate change, and deliver a seamless experience. This role offers the opportunity to develop your commercial, relationship management, and industry expertise while contributing to AIA’s purpose of helping people live Healthier, Longer, Better Lives through high-quality adviser support and sales growth initiatives.
Your Impact
Build trusted adviser relationships through regular phone and virtual engagement, strengthening loyalty, service quality, and brand advocacy
Drive profitable sales growth by identifying opportunities across adviser portfolios and supporting targeted business development initiatives
Deliver timely, accurate, and proactive support that helps advisers confidently meet client needs and business objectives
Collaborate with Business Development Managers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, manage adviser transitions, and enhance the adviser experience
Maintain accurate Salesforce records and use performance insights to improve service effectiveness, efficiency, and decision-making
Promote strong risk and compliance outcomes by supporting training requirements, escalating concerns early, and managing complaints and conduct matters appropriately
Your Capabilities
You have experience in sales, account management, relationship management, or a customer-focused environment where building trusted partnerships drives results
You bring strong communication skills and adapt your approach to connect with a variety of audiences and clearly articulate value
You have the ability to prioritise competing activities, manage your time effectively, and maintain a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment
You bring a thoughtful and solutions-focused mindset, using sound judgement to resolve challenges and identify opportunities for improvement
You have strong emotional intelligence and build positive relationships through empathy, professionalism, and collaboration
You may also have experience within insurance, financial services, or a related industry, along with relevant business or industry qualifications including NCFS Level 5 qualifications
