The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Business Analyst (Strategic Delivery) to join our Retail Distribution Strategic Delivery team for a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives, business improvements and operational change that enhance customer outcomes and business performance.
Working closely with business leaders, subject matter experts and technology teams, you will play a key role in identifying business needs, analysing processes, documenting requirements and supporting the successful delivery of projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The role offers broad exposure across the business, providing an opportunity to influence meaningful change and support the optimisation of systems, processes and customer journeys.
To do this successfully you will:
- Partner with stakeholders across Retail Distribution and the wider enterprise to understand business challenges, opportunities and requirements.
- Facilitate workshops, discussions and stakeholder engagement activities to gather and document business requirements.
- Analyse current state processes and identify opportunities for improvement, simplification and operational efficiency.
- Develop business requirements, process maps, gap analyses, business cases and supporting documentation.
- Support project delivery activities including planning, impact assessments, testing coordination, business readiness and implementation activities.
- Collaborate with business, technology and project teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and agreed objectives.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing, issue resolution and transition activities to support successful implementation outcomes.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, delivery artefacts and reporting materials.
- Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures and operational documentation.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing enhancements to processes, systems and customer experiences.
- Ensure risk, compliance and governance requirements are appropriately considered and incorporated into business initiatives.
- Build strong working relationships across the organisation and contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Successful applicants will demonstrate:
- Experience in Business Analysis, Process Improvement, Project Delivery Support or a similar role.
- Experience supporting business initiatives from requirements gathering through to implementation.
- Strong business analysis, problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities.
- Proven ability to gather, analyse, document and communicate business requirements effectively.
- Experience developing process maps, business documentation and operational procedures.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent written, verbal and facilitation skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and process mapping tools such as Visio.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence, or similar project and collaboration tools, is desirable.
- Knowledge of Agile and/or project delivery frameworks.
- Experience within Insurance, Financial Services or a related industry will be highly regarded.
