Based out of our Kill office (Co. Kildare), the successful candidate will report to the Team Leader on all aspects of the position and will be an integral part of our wider Wholesale Commercial team.

About the role

As a Broker Support Executive, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our Wholesale broker network, ensuring seamless policy administration, and delivering exceptional service standards. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a passion for customer service in the insurance sector. 

The successful candidate will have the ability to progress within the department and take on additional role responsibilities such handling client accounts within a relatively progressive period of time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and prioritise daily workloads through the team task list, ensuring all activities are completed within agreed service levels.

• Monitor and maintain shared team inboxes, responding to broker queries promptly and escalating matters where appropriate.

• Ensure all correspondence and documentation are accurately recorded and filed within internal systems

• Log new business and renewal submissions received from brokers in a timely and accurate manner.

• Prepare, check and issue policy documentation including schedules and endorsements.

• Ensure all policy records are maintained accurately and updated in accordance with company procedures

• Assist in processing policy amendments and endorsements as required.

• Raise and issue invoices to brokers accurately and within required timeframes.

• Monitor outstanding broker balances and ensure payments are received within agreed credit terms.

• Issue payment reminders and follow up on overdue accounts in a professional manner.

• Work closely with the Finance team and brokers to resolve payment queries and reduce aged debt.

• Prepare and issue pre-renewal documentation to brokers in accordance with renewal timelines.

• Support the renewal process by ensuring all required documentation and information is available ahead of renewal dates.

• Support the Team Leader and wider department with ad hoc administrative duties and projects as required.

About You

• Extremely well organised with excellent time management skills.

• Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure in a busy environment.

• Willingness to progress within the team to Account Executive level.

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

• High level of accuracy, organisation, and attention to detail.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and insurance administration systems.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and data protection standards.

• Aptitude for learning involves specifically working towards an insurance qualification over a specified period of time, with APA Commercial achieved within 12 months.

• 1-2 years previous experience in an administration role desirable.
