We have an exciting opportunity within our Greater Toronto Area (GTA) region for a Broker Operations Specialist. In this role, you will play a key part in driving operational excellence and delivering an exceptional broker experience across an assigned broker portfolio.

As the primary point of contact for your broker panel, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating broker requests, including broker onboarding, product inquiries, operational support, and accommodation requests. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across Aviva to ensure timely resolution, seamless service delivery, and a consistent broker experience.

Beyond day-to-day operations, you will actively manage and support a portfolio of broker partners by monitoring business performance and helping to execute strategic plans that drive profitable growth. Acting as the "quarterback" for the broker relationship, you will facilitate regular meetings with brokers and key internal stakeholders, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring alignment on business objectives, growth opportunities, and service initiatives.

This role is critical to advancing Aviva's regional growth strategy. You will contribute to the execution of broker business plans, strategic initiatives, underwriting quality reviews, and financial performance objectives while identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and strengthen broker engagement.

What you’ll do:

• Manage internal and external broker demand through Salesforce, ensuring timely and effective resolution of requests.
• Coordinate broker onboarding and setup activities, creating a positive and efficient experience for new broker partners.
• Support underwriting resolution by partnering with internal teams and brokers to address issues and drive outcomes.
• Develop, monitor, and execute broker performance, growth, and profitability plans across an assigned portfolio.
• Lead broker performance management activities and business reviews to support regional objectives.
• Execute regional and national broker communications, ensuring consistent messaging and engagement.
• Support the rollout and execution of regional broker initiatives, including pricing, product, and business development programs.
• Execute underwriting audit recommendations and action plans to improve quality and performance outcomes.
• Act as a liaison with the Broker Training Team to identify development opportunities and support broker education initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate recurring meetings with brokers and internal stakeholders to strengthen relationships and drive results.
• Represent Aviva at broker meetings, industry events, campaigns, and networking opportunities throughout the region.

What you’ll bring:

• Completion of, or active pursuit of, the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation is considered an asset.
• Post-secondary education in Business, Commerce, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance industry, broker channel, or a related business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver strong business results both independently and through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Proven experience coordinating and influencing stakeholders across multiple functions to achieve shared objectives.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and foster productive relationships.
• Exceptional relationship management and networking capabilities, with a customer-first mindset.
• Results-driven and service-oriented, with a focus on operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Working knowledge of broker technology platforms, digital tools, and marketing concepts, including both traditional and digital engagement strategies.
• Proficiency with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is considered an asset.

• The salary band for this position ranges from $70,000 to $80,000. Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.
