STRATEGY DIRECTOR – LATAM

Edelman Colombia is looking for a Strategy Director to help lead and elevate Strategy across Latin America.

We are looking for someone who combines strong strategic craft with creative instinct, cultural intelligence, client leadership and commercial thinking.

Someone who can uncover the insight that changes the conversation, inspire great creative work and identify opportunities before they become briefs.

This is a senior regional role based in Colombia, Bogotá, working across markets, clients and disciplines throughout Latin America.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Lead strategy for major clients and opportunities across LATAM, connecting business challenges, culture, audiences and communications.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, bringing clarity to complex challenges and identifying opportunities beyond the immediate brief.
• Turn research, cultural signals, audience intelligence and business context into sharp insights and compelling strategies.
• Inspire creative work through strong briefs, strategic direction and close partnership with Creative teams.
• Bring an earned-first perspective to how brands build relevance, trust and influence.
• Identify opportunities to grow client relationships and play a leading strategic role in new business.
• Partner across Creative, Intelligence, Digital, Corporate and Client Leadership to develop integrated solutions.
• Lead and develop strategists while helping raise the quality and ambition of Strategy across the region.
• Explore how AI, intelligence and emerging technologies can make strategic work smarter and more impactful.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Strong experience in brand, creative, communications or integrated strategy.
• Excellent strategic craft, from business challenge and insight through strategy, narrative and creative opportunity.
• Experience advising senior clients and influencing conversations beyond the communications brief.
• Strong creative judgment and experience partnering with creative teams.
• A commercial mindset, with experience growing client relationships and contributing to new business.
• Experience leading people and working across multidisciplinary teams and markets.
• Strong cultural intelligence, research instincts and storytelling skills.
• The ability to operate as both a regional leader and a hands-on strategist when needed.
• Fluent English and Spanish.
