Sobre esta vaga de Biomass Partnerships & Sourcing Manager na Charmindustrial
About the Role
Our pyrolyzers only run as fast as biomass arrives. Every tonne of forest residue that reaches our plant with complete chain-of-custody evidence becomes verified carbon removal. A tonne left masticated on a hillside, or delivered without paperwork, does not.
As Biomass Partnerships & Sourcing Manager, you'll support the front end of our supply chain, securing biomass that feeds our operations to build our final product. You'll start in Colorado on two fronts at once: reaching new forestry contractors, and staying current with every contracted supplier. You'll also become a liaison for local agencies behind the wildfire mitigation work to understand their upcoming projects and biomass offtake challenges. Over time you'll travel to other regions Charm identifies, supporting and expanding markets.
You'll turn relationships into signed supply agreements, keep deliveries flowing in close coordination with our logistics team, and make sure every tonne meets carbon-registry documentation standards. You'll own sourcing evidence collection for every supplier you manage, so each tonne arrives ready for verification.
This role is hybrid with regular time at our Fort Lupton site, regular in-state field travel, and periodic trips to other expansion regions.
Your Responsibilities
-
Open new contractor and project supply in Colorado: reach forestry contractors we don't yet work with, and build a pipeline of fuel-reduction and forest health projects alongside land managers, counties, conservation districts, utilities, and fire collaboratives. Track RFPs, RFQs, and grant cycles (FRWRM, CWDG, COSWAP) and position Charm as a biomass partner.
-
Turn relationships into signed supply: negotiate supply agreements, purchase agreements, project appendices, and LOIs with contractors, agencies, and landowners. Structure pricing, material specs, haul terms, and volume commitments that hold up operationally.
-
Own day-to-day supplier management: hold a regular cadence of engagement with every contracted Colorado supplier and get updates on each of their projects, including status, timing, forecasts, equipment delays, and delivery tickets.
-
Support broader federal, state and local agency engagement with status updates, meetings and field tours.
-
Work hand in hand with Charm’s logistics team: share project timing, pickup windows, and volume forecasts with our logistics team so they can plan hauling and site storage.
-
Own evidence collection so every tonne is creditable: collect sourcing and chain-of-custody evidence (forester affidavits, wood-tracking forms, non-merchantable material attestations, funding documentation) that meets the Isometric Biomass Feedstock Accounting Module. Build evidence requirements into supplier agreements up front, chase missing documents before material ships, and hand the MRV team complete evidence packages for registry submission.
-
As needed, travel to new geographies Charm is developing to understand the biomass landscape.
You Bring
-
Experience in supply chain, procurement, forestry, wildfire mitigation program work, natural resource partnerships, or agricultural products.
-
Credibility with land managers and contractors: you're as comfortable at a county commissioners' meeting or a Forest Service district office as you are on a forestry landing with a chipper running.
-
Hands-on contracting experience: you've drafted or negotiated supply agreements, purchase agreements, MOUs, or partnership agreements.
-
Discipline with CRM, documentation, and follow-through. You'll own affidavits and chain-of-custody records for your suppliers, and you're comfortable learning a technical protocol well enough to spot a gap before an auditor does.
-
Commercial judgment on price, volume, and risk, including when a partner's timeline or scope puts supply at risk.
-
Enthusiastic about building new supply chains where no biomass market exists yet, and comfort with ambiguity in a fast-moving startup.
-
Valid driver's license and comfort with up to 30% travel
-
MRV or carbon-registry experience, especially biomass sourcing, chain-of-custody, or sustainability criteria (Isometric, Puro, Verra, or similar).
-
Existing relationships in Colorado's wildfire mitigation ecosystem: CSFS, conservation districts, fireshed collaboratives, or Front Range forestry contractors.
-
Experience sourcing sawmill residuals, pellet or biomass-power feedstock, or agricultural residues.
-
Working knowledge of how fuels treatments get funded and contracted, such as grants, stewardship and timber sale contracts, Good Neighbor Authority, and public bids.
-
A forestry degree, forester credential, or GIS skills for mapping supply.
-
Bulk material logistics experience: trucking, chipping, moisture, and storage.
