Join Us as a Bioanalysis and Toxicokinetics Project Manager – Make an Impact at the Forefront of Innovation!

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Scientific Project Manager to provide flexible scientific and project-management support across Bioanalysis (BioA), Toxicokinetics (TK) and cross-functional operational improvement activities.

The role will provide experienced, responsive review of BioA and TK reports on an ad hoc basis, while also helping to establish and project manage a portfolio of drug discovery and development activities using Airtable as a new operational platform.

The successful candidate will also contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives focused on strengthening ways of working across Toxicology and Bioanalysis teams.

This is a varied position combining scientific report review, project management, digital workflow implementation and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Airtable Platform Setup & Project Management

  • Work with key stakeholders to configure Airtable workspaces, bases, views and workflows for selected drug discovery and development projects.
  • Translate project needs into practical tracking tools for milestones, deliverables, ownership, status, risks, dependencies and decision points.
  • Maintain project trackers and dashboards to support visibility of non-clinical delivery activities across multiple programmes.
  • Coordinate project-management routines, including action tracking, follow-up, status reporting and escalation of risks or delays.
  • Support adoption of Airtable by developing simple instructions, templates and ways-of-working guidance for end users.

Bioanalysis & Toxicokinetic Report Review

  • Review bioanalytical and toxicokinetic reports on an ad hoc basis, ensuring scientific accuracy, internal consistency and appropriate interpretation of study data.
  • Check that report content is aligned with agreed study objectives, sample-analysis plans, method-validation expectations and relevant regulatory/scientific guidance.
  • Identify data inconsistencies, calculation issues, reporting gaps or unclear conclusions, and provide concise, actionable comments to study teams or CRO partners.
  • Support timely resolution of report-review comments to enable efficient study close-out, decision-making and regulatory readiness.

Process & Ways-of-Working Improvement

  • Contribute to ongoing process-improvement activities across Toxicology and Bioanalysis teams.
  • Support development of pragmatic process improvements, including clearer roles, timelines, escalation routes and documentation expectations.
  • Capture agreed actions, track progress and prepare concise updates for relevant working groups or leadership discussions.
  • Promote consistent, transparent and efficient ways of working across cross-functional teams.

Skills & Experience

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience in bioanalysis, toxicokinetics, DMPK, non-clinical development, clinical pharmacology operations or a closely related scientific/project-management environment.
  • Ability to critically review scientific reports and identify issues in data interpretation, consistency, terminology and conclusions.
  • Strong project-management capability, with confidence managing multiple workstreams, timelines and stakeholders.
  • Practical experience with digital workflow tools. Prior Airtable experience would be advantageous but is not essential if you can rapidly learn and configure new platforms.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to build practical tracking systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific or operational information into clear actions, trackers and concise updates.
  • Clear written communication and the ability to produce concise summaries, action logs and progress updates.
  • A collaborative working style, with confidence engaging senior scientific and operational stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently within a flexible, demand-led support model while maintaining strong alignment with accountable project owners.

Key Stakeholders

  • The role will work closely with Bioanalysis project leads, Toxicology representatives, DMPK colleagues, study monitors, CRO-facing teams and operational stakeholders involved in non-clinical delivery.
  • You will be expected to coordinate effectively across functions while ensuring accountability remains with the relevant internal project or scientific leads.

What You Will Deliver

During the initial 6-month assignment, key deliverables are expected to include:

  • Timely completion of assigned BioA and TK report reviews, with clear documented comments and follow-up through to closure.
  • Configured Airtable bases for agreed discovery/development project areas, including standardised views, ownership fields, milestone tracking and reporting outputs.
  • Maintained portfolio trackers for selected programmes, with routine status updates and visibility of risks and dependencies.
  • Draft ways-of-working maps or process summaries describing current state, proposed improvements and agreed next steps across Toxicology and Bioanalysis.
  • Simple user guidance or templates to enable continued use of Airtable and related project-management processes following completion of the temporary assignment.

Working Model

  • Initial 6-month temporary assignment.
  • Flexible, demand-led support model, with priorities agreed with relevant project owners and leadership.
  • Combination of scientific review activities and structured project-management support.
  • Expected to operate with limited supervision once priorities, templates and review expectations have been agreed.
  • Regular check-ins to align workload, review progress and reprioritize as project needs evolve.
