About the role:

Implementation Managers at August are integral to August’s customer experience. Our implementation approach and customer-obsessed culture are critical to our success as a company and brand. As August grows, we’re building product-specific expertise across our team—and we’re looking for a Billing Implementation Manager to lead customers through one of the most operationally critical transitions they’ll make.

Billing at August is a modern, intuitive solution that helps communities streamline their invoicing and payment processes, reduce errors, and improve financial transparency for operators and families alike. In this role, you’ll play a key role in shaping the customer experience, building scalable processes, and helping senior living communities unlock real value from day one.

What you’ll do:

• Drive the end-to-end implementation of August’s Billing product, taking customers from initial discovery through go-live, stabilizing early use, and preparing them for a seamless handoff to Customer Success.

• Own the accuracy and quality of each Billing implementation by configuring the product correctly, establishing strong workflows, and ensuring communities are set up for long-term success.

• Serve as the product expert for Billing—helping customers navigate setup, integrations, and adoption while continuously improving how we implement Billing at scale.

• Communicate with all levels of the customer organization, from finance and operations leaders to community staff and home office billing teams.

• Manage multiple complex Billing implementations simultaneously, balancing customer needs, timelines, dependencies, and competing priorities while maintaining the accuracy and attention to detail required for successful financial workflows.

• Provide strategic feedback to Product and Engineering, translating implementation experience, customer workflows, and recurring patterns into insights that help shape the future of Billing.

• Lead training and launch sessions that build confidence and drive adoption with both back-office and community teams.

• Develop internal and external resources to support repeatable, high-quality implementations as the product and customer base scale.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with our CX, Product, and Go-To-Market teams to continuously improve the customer journey and implementation experience.

The ideal candidate

• 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing role, ideally in Customer Success, Implementation, or a similar function

• Strong financial literacy, with experience in billing, accounting, business office management, revenue cycle management, or another finance-related discipline

• Experience in healthcare or senior living operations is a plus, but not required—we can teach the industry; you bring the financial aptitude

• A customer-obsessed mindset and a track record of helping customers achieve meaningful outcomes

• Excited to build and improve processes, create scalable tools, and bring structure to new products, features, and implementation challenges

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders

• Comfortable operating with both process and ambiguity, with the judgment to follow established implementation practices while recognizing when a customer or situation requires a different approach
