The Biacore Sales Specialist  is responsible for driving growth of the Biacore portfolio by combining scientific expertise in biomolecular interaction analysis with effective sales execution. The role helps customers apply surface plasmon resonance (SPR) solutions across drug discovery and biologics development, including emerging AI-enabled drug discovery workflows.

This position reports to the Sales Specialist & FAS Team Leader of Discovery & Medical OpCo and will work remotely to cover customers across Korea..  

What you will do:

• Drive revenue and order targets across the Protein Research portfolio, with primary responsibility for the Biacore business through accurate forecasting, strategic pipeline management, and effective sales execution.
• Provide scientific and commercial consultation on biomolecular interaction analysis, including binding kinetics, affinity, specificity, and concentration analysis using SPR technologies.
• Execute Business Unit strategies across operating companies to maximize market share and achieve business objectives within cross-opco accounts.
• Identify and cultivate new business opportunities emerging from AI-enabled drug discovery, computational biology, protein design, and next-generation therapeutic modalities.
• Develop and implement market expansion strategies based on captured insights to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Field Application Specialists, Product Management, Marketing, and channel partners to deliver integrated customer support , execute growth strategies and launch new product
• Deliver customer presentations, seminars, workshops, and product demonstrations, and build strong relationships with scientific stakeholders and decision makers.
• Maintain precise customer data and sales activity records within CRM systems (e.g., SFDC) while continuously enhancing domain expertise in protein science.

Who you are:

• Education & Experience: Master's degree or higher in Biochemistry, Protein Science, Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related life sciences field; a PhD is preferred. 7+ years of relevant experience in research, field application, product management, or commercial roles within the biotechnology or biopharmaceutical industry is strongly preferred.
• Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Biacore, bio-layer interferometry (BLI), or another biomolecular interaction analysis platform, including experimental design, data interpretation, or troubleshooting. Practical knowledge of protein interactions, antibody characterization, binding kinetics, affinity analysis, and drug discovery or biologics development workflows.
• Business Acumen: Ability to bridge scientific research and commercial strategy by understanding customer research objectives, identifying opportunities for workflow improvement, and converting technical needs into impactful business solutions.
• Interpersonal Skills:  Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to work effectively with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both English and Korean is essential.
