- Influence strategic decision-making by developing recommendations that support colleague needs and business priorities while enabling effective delivery and colleague experience

What you'll do
As a Benefits & Wellbeing Manager, you'll lead the review and evolution of the India benefits and wellbeing policy, proposition design, standards, and roadmap, identifying opportunities to enhance colleague value, support talent attraction and retention, and align with business priorities and long-term sustainability. Using colleague insight, data, market practice, supplier input, and external trends, you'll also identify emerging needs, risks, and opportunities, as well as assess current effectiveness, and shape strategic priorities for the India benefits Jand wellbeing agenda.
Moreover, you'll lead the development of analysis, proposals, business cases, and recommendations to inform decisions on India benefits and wellbeing priorities, proposition changes, policy development, and future investment working within enterprise governance and decision-making frameworks. Working closely with Colleague Experience Delivery (CED), local People teams, enterprise Reward colleagues and external partners, you'll also support in translating strategy into action, delivering meaningful colleague and business outcomes.
In addition, you’ll be:
- Owning the India benefits and wellbeing agenda, including priorities, policies, proposition design, standards, and roadmap delivery, within the framework set by the Benefits & Wellbeing Strategy Lead
- Using insight, feedback, and market information to assess effectiveness, identify strategic opportunities and risks, and inform prioritisation and roadmap decisions across India
- Bring an India perspective to the development of the bankwide benefits and wellbeing strategy, using local insight, colleague feedback, market practice and business context to inform emerging priorities.
- Overseeing governance, risk, and control activities relating to India benefits and wellbeing policy and proposition changes, ensuring proposals are developed within the agreed framework
- Building strong relationships with CED, Talent Acquisition, Risk and Control, Finance, HR Business Partners, and other key stakeholders to shape and evolve the India offer and support effective delivery
The skills you'll need
We're looking for someone with deep subject matter expertise in benefits and wellbeing policy, proposition design, market practice, supplier, and product landscapes, and relevant local regulatory considerations. You should also have strong knowledge of colleague benefits and all pillars of wellbeing in India, alongside a clear understanding of how benefits and wellbeing support colleague experience and organisational performance.
To succeed in this role, you must be able to use data, colleague insight, market practice, and external trends to exercise sound judgement and shape strategic recommendations, priorities, roadmap choices, and proposition development.
In addition, you’ll need:
- Experience leading or owning policy, proposition development, projects, or strategic activity in a reward, benefits, wellbeing, people or related environment
- Experience developing papers, business cases, and proposals to support decisions on priorities, policy changes, and investment
- An understanding of governance, risk, and control requirements relevant to benefits and wellbeing policy and proposition activity
