Want to join our team as a Supply Planner?
The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring product availability while optimizing inventory levels and production capacity using complex data mining and analysis to support the Global Sales and Planning Process, and Supply chain metrics.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain supply plans based on demand forecast, inventory targets, production capacity, and business requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, and supply risks.
- Collaborate closely with the Demand Planning, Sourcing, Logistics, Sales and Operations teams to align supply with demand.
- Create and submit purchase orders to suppliers. Monitor supplier WIP reports and proactively address supply constraints and delays.
- Research root causes of inventory and service-level issues and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate planning parameters and other system inputs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and make necessary process improvement recommendations and suggestions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, Industrial Engineering or related field- or equivalent years of relevant and related experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in forecasting, buying, or supply chain management.
- Strong analytical, statistical problem-solving and decision-making skills required.
- Expert knowledge of Excel is required. Experience working with SAP and Anaplan or other supply planning platforms is preferred.
- Knowledge of Supply Chain trends and issues.
- Ability to influence and motivate people to act.
- Out the box thinking, always seeking creative and resourceful ways to solve problems.
- Project management experience preferred.
- Proven leadership capability; build trust, develop and mentor others within work group.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to effectively communicate at all levels of organization.
- Detail orientated with strong organization skills.
- Ability to negotiate and handle multiple priorities.
- A self-starter who doesn’t need direction to act when a need arises.
- Comfortable being Uncomfortable with new and challenging situations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Adjust quickly to changing priorities and business needs.
