Job Summary: As a Bartender at High Camp, you will create memorable mountain experiences by delivering genuine hospitality, engaging with guests, and providing friendly, efficient beverage service in one of Palisades Tahoe’s most iconic locations. You will help bring our hospitality culture to life by welcoming every guest, anticipating their needs, and working collaboratively with the High Camp team to maintain a positive, energetic, and inclusive environment. This role requires responsible alcohol service, strong product knowledge, attention to cleanliness and safety, and a commitment to making every interaction reflect the spirit and service standards of Palisades Tahoe.

Hourly:

The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.

Base hourly pay range: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following; other duties may be assigned:

• Deliver Exceptional Hospitality: Provide every guest with friendly, welcoming, and efficient service while creating positive and memorable experiences that reflect the hospitality culture of Palisades Tahoe.

• Anticipate Guest Needs: Engage with guests, anticipate their needs, and look for opportunities to exceed expectations throughout their High Camp experience.

• Support a Strong Service Culture: Work collaboratively with other bartenders, servers, culinary staff, and venue leadership to maintain a positive, professional, and guest-focused environment.

• Prepare & Serve Beverages: Accurately prepare and serve cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages according to Palisades Tahoe recipes, presentation standards, and service expectations.

• Practice Responsible Alcohol Service: Verify guest identification and follow all RBS requirements, responsible alcohol service practices, and Palisades Tahoe F&B Alcohol Consumption policies.

• Maintain Compliance & Safety: Follow all applicable Palisades Tahoe policies and required certifications, including Food Handler requirements, RBS training, Allergy Training, sanitation standards, and workplace safety procedures.

• Maintain Bar Readiness: Complete daily opening, closing, prep, stocking, and production responsibilities to ensure all High Camp bar locations are prepared for efficient service.

• Provide Resort & Menu Knowledge: Maintain knowledge of menus, beverage offerings, High Camp amenities, and Palisades Tahoe operations to confidently answer guest questions or assist guests in locating accurate information.

• Process Transactions Accurately: Operate point-of-sale systems, collect payments, follow procedures, and ensure transactions are completed accurately and efficiently.

• Support Inventory & Operational Standards: Participate in monthly inventory and assist with receiving, stocking, product rotation, cleanliness, organization, and other operational responsibilities necessary for a successful bar program.

Competencies and Job Requirements:

Required: 

• Must have Food Handlers and RBS training and certification withing 7 days of employment

• Effective communication skills, oral & written

• Strong sense of customer service & safety awareness

• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

• Have a neat & clean appearance in compliance with the company grooming standards

• Punctual, able to report at scheduled start time 

• Work well as part of a team.

• Able to remain patient, calm and composed in a fast paced, high volume demanding environment.

Preferred:

• Knowledgeable about all aspects of the menu, restaurant and Palisades Tahoe or be able to locate information.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 90% or more of a normal 8 hour work shift. Must be capable of frequently carrying, lifting. pushing or pulling up to 25lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.

Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to outside weather conditions.

Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the work place is usually loud.

Education and Experience:

Required:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two years bartending experience 
• Must have or be able to obtain a California Food Handlers card.
  

A Motor Vehicle Record review may be required as part of your job.
