As an AWS Modernization Specialist - Manager, you will lead the charge in transforming and modernizing client systems using AWS technologies. Within our Technology Consulting practice, you will leverage your skills to drive innovation and deliver exceptional solutions that meet client needs. As a Manager, you will guide and develop teams, manage client service accounts, and oversee client engagement workstreams. You will utilize strategic planning and mentoring to inspire your team, while maintaining integrity and authenticity in all interactions.

In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will be responsible for leading teams and managing client accounts, focusing on strategic planning and mentoring junior staff. You will take ownership of projects, confirming their successful planning, budgeting, execution, and completion. By embracing technology and innovation, you will enhance your delivery and encourage others to do the same, all while upholding PwC’s quality standards and contributing to the firm's purpose and values.

Responsibilities

- Leading the development and modernization of AWS-based applications and systems
- Managing software engineering teams to deliver innovative solutions using Agile methodologies
- Overseeing the implementation of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance software deployment efficiency
- Utilizing programming languages such as Java, Python, and C# to develop scalable software solutions
- Conducting code reviews and enforcing coding standards to maintain software quality
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements and design enterprise application architectures
- Implementing microservices and API management to improve system integration and performance
- Guiding teams in the adoption of Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) to improve software testing processes
- Promoting the use of modern application frameworks and platforms like React Native and Flutter for mobile development
- Coaching and mentoring junior staff to foster professional growth and development within the team

What You Must Have

- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

What Sets You Apart

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Computer and Data Engineering, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Machine Learning, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering
- Demonstrating proficiency in Acceptance Test Driven Development (ATDD) and CI/CD
- Utilizing API Management and Microservices for scalable solutions
- Excelling in Software Project Management and Software Testing methodologies
- Leveraging JavaScript and Python for innovative application development
- Managing Enterprise Application Architecture and Integration effectively
- Embracing change and fostering creativity in software engineering teams10+ years of experience in software engineering.

- 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in modernization or transformation.

- Deep expertise in microservices architecture, domain-driven design, and bounded context decomposition.

- Proven experience leading monolith decomposition and database separation programs.

- Extensive backend development experience with Java, Python, Node.js, or equivalent.

- Deep experience with REST/API development on Lambda, API Gateway, and SAM.

- Extensive experience with event-driven architectures (EventBridge, Step Functions, SQS/SNS, Kinesis).

- Strong proficiency with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS/EKS, Fargate).

- Experience with service mesh (App Mesh) and service discovery (Cloud Map).

- Experience with database modernization, DMS (AI-assisted schema conversion), and SCT.

- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

- Knowledge of Agile Methodology and Practices.

- Strong understanding of application security and cloud governance.
