Job Description

The Oklahoma State Auditor and Inspector’s Office is looking for an Auditor I to join our team. This is an opportunity to use your accounting and organizational skills in a role that directly supports the work of our agency and helps promote accountability and transparency in Oklahoma government.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:  As a team member, you will utilize your accounting and auditing skills as part of an audit team that evaluates compliance with Federal laws and regulations, oil and gas industry regulations, and Office of Natural Resources Revenue policies and procedures. A bachelor’s degree in accounting is required. Transcripts and other education documentation must be provided. You must be a U.S. citizen. Background and security clearance are required. We are interested in candidates who possess strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. Minimal travel is required.

REQUIRED SKILLS: Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, proficiency in Excel, Word, and CAATS, and a valid driver’s license.

Preference given to applicants who demonstrate strong critical thinking skills and those who have strong communication and time management skills, the ability to build effective working relationships, and a strong interest in continued professional development.

What We Offer

Competitive Compensation starting salary between $50,000–$54,000, with compensation based on education, certifications, and experience. Benefits consisting of:
