Position Summary:

The Office of the University Registrar at Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Associate University Registrar in Boca Raton, FL.


The Associate University Registrar provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for degree audit administration, academic systems, transfer articulation, and student success technologies within the Office of the Registrar. This position serves as the institutional expert for degree audit, academic planning, and related student information systems, ensuring the integrity of academic records, degree requirements, curriculum implementation, and transfer credit processes. The Associate University Registrar collaborates with academic and administrative partners across the University to leverage technology, data, and process improvement initiatives that support student success, retention, timely graduation, regulatory compliance, and effective academic operations.


Summary of Responsibilities:


Student Academic Success Systems Leadership

  • Serve as the functional owner and institutional subject matter expert for the University’s degree audit and academic planning systems (e.g., Stellic, UAchieve), providing strategic leadership for system governance, configuration, enhancements, integrations, and long-term operational planning.
  • Leverage degree audit, academic planning, and student success technologies to identify curriculum bottlenecks and barriers to degree completion, develop institutional reports, and collaborate with campus partners to implement data-informed strategies that improve retention, timely graduation, and overall student success.
  • Serve as the Registrar’s representative on university committees, governance groups, and enterprise initiatives involving academic technology, student success and curriculum management.
  • Lead change management efforts related to degree audit systems and student success technologies.
  • Manage project prioritization, resource planning, requirements gathering, stakeholder coordination, testing, implementation, and post-implementation assessment.
  • Serve as the primary functional liaison with system vendors and technology partners regarding product enhancements, system upgrades, issue resolution and integrations.

Degree Audit Administration

  • Direct the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and administration of undergraduate and graduate degree audits, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of degree requirements.
  • Develop and maintain processes and ensure timely implementation of new academic programs, catalog changes, and curriculum changes within degree audit systems, ensuring accurate alignment of program requirements, degree pathways, and academic policies.
  • Oversee functional testing and validation of degree audit programming, integrations, and related system enhancements prior to production deployment.

Student Information Systems

  • Coordinate the integration of state or university data requirements to ensure compliance with mandates and facilitate university processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive functional knowledge of Florida Atlantic’s Student Information System (SIS) (e.g., Banner) and its integration with Degree Audit and Transfer Articulation systems, ensuring the accurate and reliable exchange of academic records and transfer credit data across enterprise applications.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Florida Atlantic’s SIS integrations with Catalog Management, Curriculum Management, Academic Planning, Scheduling Systems, and other enterprise applications.

Curriculum and Transfer Articulation Management

  • Lead the University's transfer articulation strategy and operations, overseeing articulation processes, systems, and the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of transfer course equivalencies to ensure compliance with institutional policies, statewide articulation agreements, SCNS requirements, accreditation standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Serve as the functional liaison with Academic Affairs, Admissions, Information Technology, and academic colleges regarding transfer articulation processes.

Leadership and Supervision

  • Direct and supervise professional and technical staff responsible for degree audit administration, academic systems support, and transfer articulation operations.
  • Establish departmental priorities, performance expectations, project timelines, and workload management processes.
  • Provide professional development, training, and functional guidance to staff and campus stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned in support of the mission and operational objectives of the Office of the Registrar.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and three years of appropriate experience; or a bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and five years of appropriate experience required.

Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and communication skills required.

Experience supervising professional staff and leading organizational, operational, or system-related change initiatives required.

Experience leading cross-functional projects involving Academic Affairs, Enrollment Management, Information Technology, and student success initiatives required.

Knowledge of FERPA, accreditation standards, and higher education academic policies, procedures, and regulations required.

Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in a Registrar's Office, academic records administration, student information systems, degree audit administration, curriculum management, academic planning systems, or related higher education administrative functions required.


Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Educational Leadership, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience with Stellic, UAchieve, Degree Works, Transferology, CollegeSource TES, or similar academic planning, degree audit, and transfer articulation technologies.

Experience with Banner Student integrations involving curriculum management, catalog management, academic planning, scheduling, and related enterprise applications.

Experience in transfer articulation, statewide articulation agreements, Florida Statewide Course Numbering System (SCNS), and curriculum governance processes. Experience implementing curriculum changes, academic policies, and graduation requirements within enterprise student systems.

Experience using student success, degree audit, and analytics tools to evaluate student progression and support retention, persistence, and graduation initiatives.

Experience at a large public university.

Demonstrated experience administering and supporting degree audit systems (e.g., Stellic, UAchieve, Degree Works) and student information systems such as Ellucian Banner.

Salary:

$80,000 - $90,000 annually.
