General Department Description

Global Transaction Banking Division Americas provides transaction banking solutions across payments and collections, cash and liquidity management, trade finance, supply chain finance, commercial card, receivables finance, and related treasury capabilities. The division serves corporate clients across the Americas and works closely with Coverage, Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, and Mizuho’s global network.

Summary

The Associate, BA Sales supports origination and execution across Banking Americas clients by preparing client and industry analysis, developing proposals and RFP responses, maintaining pipeline and call records, coordinating opportunity actions, and supporting handoff to Product, Onboarding, Execution & Delivery and Client Experience. The role participates in the cross-functional assignment model to build broad product, client and execution capability.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Sales Support: Prepare client research, treasury and working-capital analysis, opportunity briefs, presentation materials, proposals and RFP responses for assigned BA opportunities.
• Opportunity Execution: Coordinate action plans, pricing inputs, internal approvals, documentation requests and handoffs across Sales, Product, Relationship Management, Credit, Legal, Onboarding and Client Experience.
• Client and Stakeholder Support: Participate in client meetings as assigned, prepare agendas and materials, and circulate accurate follow-up actions within agreed timelines.
• Pipeline and Data Quality: Maintain complete and timely pipeline, client activity, revenue and milestone data; reconcile exceptions and escalate gaps before reporting deadlines.
• Risk and Controls: Follow applicable policies, procedures, approval standards and information-handling requirements; support timely remediation of assigned control items.
• Cross-Functional Development: Maintain current assignment and capacity information, execute a balanced mix of assignments, escalate workload conflicts early, seek feedback, and contribute reusable materials.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required; finance, business, economics, or a related field preferred.
• Professional Experience: Two to five years of relevant experience in transaction banking, treasury services, corporate banking, financial analysis, or sales support.
• Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of cash management and trade finance products, financial analysis, pipeline reporting, and presentation development.
• Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, writing, and presentation skills; proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Language: English required. Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, French, or another language is a plus.
• Travel: Limited, based on client and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in a global bank or corporate treasury environment; exposure to client analytics, RFPs, cash management, or trade finance; CTP coursework or other relevant professional development.

Work Location

In-office presence is an essential function of this role, and this role requires work from the office five days per week. Remote work may be used on an as-needed and ad hoc basis in accordance with applicable Banking policies.

The expected base salary ranges from $93,000 - $140,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, including Medical, Dental and 401K plans, successful candidates are also eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
