Purpose of Job
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
a)Develop packaging according to project brief and sustainability concept for New innovation projects (NPD) and relaunch LCM projects, LCM projects including Capacity expansion, product redesign, Lean & Cost saving, Green Unicorn projects, Multi sourcing and Bigfoot projects as well as quality complain trouble shooting.
b)Ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
c)Provide updates according to project milestones and inform relevant parties of technical and timing issues.
d)Conduct tests to qualify new packages.
e)Create packaging specifications and control plans.
f)Ensure all projects are completed and meet the intended design, quality, cost, functionality, manufacturability, regulatory, and consumer safety requirements.
g)Ensure sufficient communication and alignment with the US packaging development team and
stakeholders.
2.Lead packaging research on sustainable contributions
a)Conduct and support packaging sustainability projects for innovation launches and post-launch projects (e.g., lightweight, recyclability, PCR materials, etc.).
b)Conduct packaging sustainability studies using tools such as Bluebird, How2Recycle, PASS, etc.
a)Manage and support the development of new packaging molds for new launch and LCM projects within a short timeframe while ensuring the right quality.
b)Participate in packaging lean projects to achieve cost savings.
4.Drive the packaging compliance projects
a)Ensure full compliance with global packaging regulations, with specific focus on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) and US California’s laws.
b)Participate in regular review meetings with US counterparts and stakeholders.
Education/Knowledge/Experience
2.Fluent in Chinese and English (listening, reading, and writing).
1.Passionate and enthusiastic about facing challenges, learning new things, and driving sustainability initiatives.
2.Demonstrates strong learning agility and quickly adapts to e.l.f.’s culture
1.Technical knowledge and experience for make-up (above 5 years) & sustainable package development. Familiar with cosmetic package material and production process on primary, secondary and tertiary packaging.
