Wells Fargo · Presencial · NEW YORK, NY

Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) delivers a comprehensive suite of banking, capital markets and advisory solutions, including a full complement of sales, trading and research capabilities, to corporate, government and institutional clients. We focus on our clients' overall financial needs, with consideration and respect for their total relationship with Wells Fargo.

About this role:

The Fund Finance team provides fund-level financing through structured credit facilities and capital market solutions to private capital funds and other asset managers. Fund Finance is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB). Team members support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigation and compliance-driven culture that firmly establishes those disciplines as critical to the success of our customers and company.

As part of the broader Fund Finance team, the Fund Solutions team focuses on providing asset managers and private capital investors differentiated Fund Finance products spanning across Net Asset Value (NAV) financing, Structured Products (Collateralized Fund Obligations/Rated Feeders), Advisory Services and Capital Raising Solutions. The Fund Solutions product set spans across a wide array of financing and capital raising solutions which may be suitable for the bank’s balance sheet and/or distribution to the growing non-bank lender universe (e.g., Insurance Companies and Private Credit Investors).

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical and transaction execution capabilities, including financial modeling, portfolio analysis, transaction structuring, coordination of rating agency and investor workstreams, legal documentation, and execution through closing.   • Negotiate, structure, and execute amendments and other facility modifications;
  • Partner with analysts and internal partners to manage internal compliance, booking, and funding processes.
  • Contribute to portfolio analysis across the broader Fund Finance team portfolio.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Investment Banking experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with originating and monitoring subscription facilities, NAV facilities, asset backed finance facilities, securitizations, or other structured products is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to analyze large data sets to provide insights on expected fund performance, pricing strategies, and optimal structuring.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Very comfortable and efficient in Excel. Experience writing formulas; organizing, analyzing, and formatting data; and recognizing and auditing errors.
  • Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining excellence and consistency of work.  Ability to quickly change focus and stay organized is a must.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience reading, negotiating, and/or interpreting legal documents.
  • High level of personal motivation. Does more than what is asked for and anticipates questions/issues.
  • Direct client interaction experience, including some experience interacting with senior decision makers.
  • Willingness to work 50+ hours per week, depending on workload.
