Sobre esta vaga de Associate Director, Portfolio Analytics na ORIX

ORIX · Presencial · New York, NY

Purpose and Job Summary

The Real Estate Investment Strategies (REIS) Portfolio Management team of ORIX is seeking a Portfolio Analytics lead to own the data, analytics, reporting and process design that drive decisions across its Portfolio Management and Capital Markets activities in non-agency CRE investments, including CRE CLOs, warehouse and repo facilities, and third-party investment vehicles. Reporting to the head of Portfolio Management, this new role will support the REIS PM team in its Portfolio Management duties, through further expansion of investment mandates and financing vehicles, and through the platform’s ongoing technology evolution, where the role will help shape the data and systems foundation the platform runs on.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the platform’s analytics engine, from data sources and semantic model through to the BI dashboards leadership uses daily, in coordination with Asset Management, Originations and other departments
  • Represent the business through systems evolution, ensuring new tools work for stakeholders alongside IT and third-party systems integrators
  • Augment and build the market intelligence that drives decisions across a 35-person group, including market pricing and market health models
  • Design and manage information flow to Portfolio Management, including process documentation, checklists, RACIs and data-quality controls across systems
  • Support Capital Markets and front-end Portfolio Management processes
  • Maintain and enhance data analytics, including loan-, portfolio- and fund-level reporting
  • Build sophisticated fund, portfolio and capital markets models, primarily in Excel, to support new mandates, financing vehicles and investor discussions
  • Own the track record and the platform’s performance narrative to investors and leadership, including quarterly production and underlying models
  • Systematically track and forecast capital movement, including financing capacity, advance rates, and expected closings, fundings and payoffs, in partnership with Capital Markets
  • Automate recurring manual processes and reduce reliance on individually held files and credentials
  • Lead adoption of AI tools to enhance analysis, and reporting workflows
  • Prepare decision materials for leadership and committees on portfolio, liquidity and performance
  • Travel Requirements – 5%
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Education, Skills & Experience

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a focus in Finance, Business, Real Estate, Data Analytics, or a related field; an advanced degree (MBA, MS) in a quantitative discipline is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate, lending, or portfolio management with a demonstrated focus on data analytics (loan-level data, collateral, reporting).
  • Proficiency with Power BI, SQL, and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with Python or other data management tools is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of multifamily/commercial real estate credit, capital markets, and basic origination processes; familiarity with CRE CLOs, warehouse/repo financing, CMBS and bridge loans is preferred.
  • Proven ability to structure and maintain large datasets, develop analytics dashboards, and streamline data workflows that enhance portfolio management processes.
  • Experience with loan administration or servicing platforms, data warehouses, or systems implementations and data migrations is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and present complex information in clear, concise formats.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills; able to prioritize multiple assignments and meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality in all business matters.
  • Team player mentality with a flexible, problem-solving approach; able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and demands.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook), including the ability to produce professional reports and presentations.
