Position Summary

The Associate Director, Finance – CDMO will serve as the senior finance leader for the CDMO business, with overall responsibility for the full spectrum of Finance functions across multiple manufacturing sites.

This role will lead Finance teams across the sites, consisting of approximately 10 professionals, including managerial-level team members. The incumbent will oversee financial planning and analysis, accounting and financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, manufacturing finance, cost and profitability analysis, internal controls, cash flow management, and business partnering.

A key requirement of this role is strong financial and operational analysis capability, preferably gained in a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate is expected to go beyond financial reporting by translating financial and operational data into actionable business insights, identifying performance gaps, and partnering with site and business leaders to drive operational efficiency, profitability, and sustainable business growth.

This position will work closely with CDMO business leaders, site management teams, Operations, Supply Chain, Commercial, and Corporate Finance to strengthen financial discipline and support strategic and operational decision-making.

[Key Responsibilities]

1. Finance Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and manage Finance teams across multiple CDMO manufacturing sites, with approximately 10 team members, including Finance Managers.

• Provide overall leadership for the full Finance function, ensuring effective execution across accounting, financial planning and analysis, manufacturing finance, reporting, budgeting, and financial controls.

• Establish clear accountability, standardized processes, and effective collaboration across site Finance teams.

• Serve as the key Finance partner to CDMO business and site leadership teams.

2. Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and periodic financial review processes for the CDMO business.

• Analyze financial and operational performance and provide meaningful insights on key business drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.

• Develop management reporting and financial analysis that support both strategic and day-to-day operational decision-making.

• Conduct financial modeling, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support business planning and investment decisions.

3. Manufacturing Finance & Operational Analysis

• Act as a key Finance partner to manufacturing sites and operations leadership.

• Analyze plant performance, manufacturing costs, production efficiency, capacity utilization, inventory, labor, overhead, and other key operational drivers.

• Provide detailed variance analysis, including actual versus budget, forecast, standard cost, and prior-period performance.

• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, and Quality teams to identify cost-saving, productivity, and efficiency improvement

4. Accounting, Reporting & Financial Control

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting activities across the CDMO business and manufacturing sites.

• Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing, financial reporting, reconciliation, and management reporting.

• Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal control requirements, and applicable accounting standards.

5. Business & Commercial Finance Partnership

• Partner with CDMO business leaders to evaluate business performance, profitability, and strategic priorities.

• Provide financial analysis for new business opportunities, customer projects, pricing decisions, capacity expansion, and investment proposals.

• Analyze customer, project, product, and site profitability and identify opportunities to improve margins.
