Duties and Responsibilities
- To ensure all underwriting submissions received are reviewed, processed and responded to in a timely fashion in line with Company requirements and delegated underwriting authority.
- To oversee, manage and provide technical assistance to Underwriting Assistants within the team
- To continually develop the overall portfolio and premium production by way of relevant business travel for new and existing brokers/clients as and if needed
- To complete all administrative duties including data entry, sign off and filing in accordance with the ensuring efficiency and accuracy at all times
- To ensure attendance to peer review and underwriting meetings when scheduled
- To liaise with broker and client base as required
- Additional risk research as required
- Statistical analysis of monthly underwriting reports in co-ordination with underwriters
- To liaise with all internal departments including Aggregation, Claims, Finance, Admin and Underwriting Management ensuring smooth operation at all times
- To carry out any additional duties/projects set by respective line manager or senior management as and when required
Job Specifications
- Academic Qualifications: Preferred Bachelor's degree
- Experience Required: 3-5 years (re)insurance experience required
- Training Required: Working towards ACII qualifications
- Languages: Fluent in English, both written and oral
- Key Competencies Excellent PC skills, including Microsoft office
