Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site.

About the Role

At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the World's 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our Taverna 37 team in a full-time, permanent position.

Located by the Athenian Riviera, Taverna 37 celebrates authentic Greek hospitality through traditional meze, fresh seafood, grilled specialties, and warm, genuine service. As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will support the Restaurant Manager in leading the daily operations of one of our signature restaurants, ensuring exceptional service standards while creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. Working closely with the Food & Beverage leadership team, you will play a key role in developing your team, driving operational excellence, and delivering the legendary Four Seasons experience.

What You Will Do

• Support the day-to-day operation of Taverna 37, ensuring exceptional service standards and memorable guest experiences.
• Supervise, coach, motivate, and develop the restaurant team while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, labour planning, and operational administration.
• Coordinate closely with Culinary, Stewarding, Purchasing, Housekeeping, and Engineering to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Lead the team during service, ensuring efficiency, attention to detail, and adherence to Four Seasons standards.
• Build strong relationships with guests by anticipating their needs and creating authentic, personalized dining experiences.
• Monitor service quality, guest satisfaction, and operational standards, taking corrective action whenever necessary.
• Support inventory management, purchasing requirements, and cost control initiatives.
• Maintain strong knowledge of food and beverage products, Greek cuisine, wines, and luxury hospitality service standards.
• Ensure compliance with Four Seasons standards, health & safety regulations, and hygiene procedures.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training initiatives, employee engagement activities, and performance evaluations.

What You Bring

• Previous supervisory or management experience within Restaurant Operations or Food & Beverage in a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant environment.
• Strong leadership and team development skills.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Passion for luxury hospitality, authentic guest service, and creating memorable dining experiences.
• Excellent food & beverage knowledge; familiarity with Greek cuisine and wines will be considered an advantage.
• Fluency in English is essential; Greek will be considered an advantage.
• Applicants must have a European Passport or the legal right to work in Greece.
