What are we looking for?

We are looking for an Assistant Manager, Corporate & Distribution Strategy to support the Strategy & Transformation function by delivering high-quality analysis, financial modelling, performance tracking and coordination for distribution compensation, contests, campaigns and transformation initiatives in Myanmar, under the guidance of the Manager, Strategy & Transformation. What are we expecting from this role?

• Prepare, update and maintain financial models for distribution compensation, sales contests and campaign proposals based on business requirements and manager guidance.
• Conduct scenario modelling, cost-benefit analysis, sensitivity testing and impact assessment to support decision-making and approval submissions.
• Track campaign and compensation budgets, monitor actual performance against plan, identify variances and prepare clear explanations for review.
• Coordinate inputs from Distribution, Finance, Actuarial, Risk, Compliance and Operations to ensure proposals are complete, accurate and aligned with approval requirements.
• Prepare regular MIS, dashboards and performance packs to support management review of distribution productivity, campaign effectiveness and business momentum.
• Support the annual strategic planning and business planning cycle through data collection, analysis, presentation preparation and follow-up tracking.
• Maintain structured documentation for key assumptions, approvals, performance outcomes and lessons learned from compensation, contest and campaign initiatives.
• Support the Manager, Strategy & Transformation in coordinating and driving assigned transformation initiatives, including business improvement, operating model, process enhancement and strategic change workstreams.
• Work with cross-functional stakeholders to gather inputs, analyse current processes, identify improvement opportunities and prepare materials to support transformation recommendations.
• Track project plans, milestones, dependencies, risks and actions to ensure disciplined execution and timely follow-up across relevant teams.
• Prepare concise updates, issue logs and progress reports for management review, highlighting key risks, decisions required and proposed next steps.
• Support bank engagement and Joint working committee by coordinating meetings, documenting outcomes and following up on agreed actions to ensure alignment and delivery momentum.

Who are we looking for?

• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in insurance, banking, finance, actuarial, strategy, business planning, financial analysis, consulting or Big 4 audit/advisory environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Strong analytical, quantitative and Excel skills, including ability to build, review and maintain financial models with clear assumptions.
• Ability to analyse business performance, identify trends and translate numerical analysis into concise management insights.
• Good understanding of budgeting, financial impact assessment and performance tracking; exposure to distribution economics is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, ownership mindset, integrity and ability to manage multiple priorities within agreed timelines.
• Good stakeholder coordination skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English, including ability to prepare clear presentation materials.
• Progress toward ACCA, CFA, actuarial exams or other relevant professional qualifications is an advantage.
• Prior exposure to distribution compensation, sales campaign design, bancassurance, agency performance management, business transformation or project coordination is an advantage.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders, Group Office, bank partners or distribution teams would be beneficial.
