POSITION SUMMARY:

Assistant Executive Housekeeper - EVS is responsible for the management of all public area cleaning and waste management in accordance with Company’s service standards.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Effective and efficient management of public area cleaning programs of assigned areas, these areas include casino, F&B outlets, external and car parks, washrooms, waste depot and all back of house staff facilities.
• Managing the day to day operation of the department with the ability to maximize productivity and minimize operating costs.
• Coordinate all cleaning activities with relevant departments to achieve desired results with minimum disruption to the Casino, Food and Beverage and Hotel operations.
• Coordinate training programs for cleaning and waste depot, fostering the career development of all team members.
• Development and continuous improvement of Standard Operating and Emergency Procedures for all public area cleaning activities.
• Implementation and monitoring of quality assurance program to ensure consistent cleaning standards are maintained throughout the complex.
• Ensure adequate staffing levels are maintained for each shift rotation to meet the cleaning demands and maintain five star service standards.
• Ensure all cleaning staff adheres to established Company’s policies and procedures.
• Ensure cleaning staff adhere to all security procedures and practices and follow grooming standards
• Manage waste recycling program including selling the message to the staff.
• Manage cleaning activities of all contract cleaners to ensure set standards are achieved.
• Actively participate in health and safety activities to ensure workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is ensured. 
• Ensure all cleaning machinery is maintained as per R & M Schedules.
• Support other sections within the EVS Department such as Cloakroom, Kids’ City and Courtesy Team if required.
• Upkeep and communicating maintenance issues to the maintenance team and proper follow through to their satisfactory completion
• Work closely with engineering department to ensure the property is being kept at all times in pristine condition.
• Work out preventive programs with engineering to ensure not only in upkeeping the quality standards but in intend of surpassing the standards
• Ensure the attitude and public demeanor all the EVS staff are a true representation of Company
• Acting also as part of the Company ambassador team while working in the public area
• Adhere to all Company policies and procedures.
• Report accidents, injuries, unsafe work conditions and / or security issues to supervisors
• Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time                                                                             

QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience

• 5 – 7 years working experience with 2 year in Assistant Manager position

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent professional training

Skills / Competencies

• Patience
• Ability to follow through
• Fluent in both written and spoken Cantonese and English
• Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis

Advantageous Skills

• Excellent interpersonal / presentation skills are preferred
