We currently have an opportunity for an Assistant Account Executive to join our Employee Benefits team in our Bayside, NY office on a Hybrid work schedule.

This position will provide support to Senior Account Executives with daily client management issues such as claims, eligibility, and service issues as well as train to manage their own book of business.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Account maintenance, including updates to client files, scanning and attaching of plan documents, and updating  Employee Benefits systems and databases
• Preparing Annual Notice packets for clients
• Requesting, tracking, and uploading Schedule As for client 5500 filings
• Assisting with marketing proposals, paperwork, and presentation preparation
• Revising, editing, and binding presentation materials as needed
• Preparing open enrollment materials
• Assisting with open enrollment meetings and client meetings as necessary
• Developing  and maintaining  positive relationships with insurance carriers and clients
• Assisting clients and Account Executives with creating client websites using HRConnections
• Work on other projects as assigned

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an Employee Benefits insurance environment
• Valid Life & Health License a plus
• 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Superb attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a deadline driven environment
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team
• Korean language proficiency preferred.
• Knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese a plus
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

The expected salary range for this position is $35.71/hr to $38.46/hr and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level. HUB International is proud to offer comprehensive benefit and total compensation packages which could include health/dental/vision/life/disability insurance, FSA, HSA and 401(k) accounts, paid-time-off benefits such as vacation, sick, and personal days, and eligible bonuses, equity and commissions for some positions.
