RAC Karri Valley Resort is located in the beautiful Southwest region of WA, approximately 3.5 hours from Perth and 15 minutes from Pemberton. We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Chef to join our team on a full-time, three-year apprenticeship. Working alongside experienced Chefs in our busy Lakeside Restaurant, you'll gain hands-on experience across all aspects of a commercial kitchen while completing your studies through South Regional TAFE - Margaret River one day per week (excluding semester breaks).

What will you be doing?

As an Apprentice Chef, you'll learn the foundations of commercial cookery while helping deliver exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

Your day-to-day impact

• Assist with food preparation and cooking across breakfast, lunch and dinner services.
• Learn commercial cookery techniques and kitchen operations from experienced Chefs.
• Support menu preparation, stock control and inventory management.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and kitchen hygiene.
• Prepare ingredients and assist during busy service periods.
• Follow recipes and procedures to ensure quality and consistency.
• Participate in all apprenticeship and TAFE training requirements.

What you'll bring to the team

• 2nd or 3rd year apprentices encouraged.
• A genuine passion for cooking and hospitality.
• Successful completion of Year 10 or higher.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
• Legal eligibility to work and study in Australia.
• A current driver's licence and reliable transport to attend TAFE.
