Job Description
- Designs and maintains various agency utilized applications/solutions using the available resources.
- Analyzes functional requirements and translate them into best fit solutions.
- Completes projects and frequently transitions between projects and application support.
- Provides technical support to Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) staff involving agency utilized applications by diagnosing technical problems and identifying appropriate solutions through research.
- Triages, prioritizes, and fulfills maintenance and support requests submitted through the ticket system.
- Researches and implements agency utilized applications best practices
- Develops, produces, distributes, and updates training materials in the form of guides, videos, PowerPoint presentations, etc. to LDH employees and internal Application Support & Training staff.
- Provides training of agency utilized applications to staff as necessary.
- Helps train new unit employees.
- Works with the Coordinator 3 and Unit Supervisor to develop and implement testing plans for new software development.
- Takes lead in SharePoint site creation, maintenance, and custom development for all LDH users.
- Other tasks as directed.
QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree, or Associates degree with 3 years of professional experience, or 6 years of professional experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 1 year professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
- Minimum 1 year professional experience with content development or application solution development.
- Excellent analytical skills, effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Great attention to detail and follow up, and verbal/written communications skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
DESIRED:
- Advanced degree.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience working with agency utilized applications or solutions.
- Minimum 2 years professional experience with content development or application solution development.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing projects, assignments and competing priorities.
- MOUS, ACE, MCT or other relevant industry certifications.
SALARY: 55-65k
