Anti-Money Laundering / BSA - Compliance Specialist

As a Compliance Specialist, you play a critical role in protecting OCBC and our customers from financial crimes. You'll work closely with our teams to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring we maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance. To succeed in this role, you'll need to stay up-to-date with changing regulations and emerging trends in financial crimes. You'll work collaboratively with our teams to identify and assess risks, develop effective controls, and implement robust monitoring and reporting systems. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in identifying potential risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.
What you do
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on AML-related topics, providing advisory support to stakeholders as needed.
Assist in reviewing AML/CFT related procedures to ensure they meet regulatory and Group requirements.
Support the Enhanced Customer Due Diligence review, by conducting assessments and documentation.
Participate in the New Product Approval process, assessing potential AML/CFT risks associated with new offerings.
Collaborate with the Centre of Excellence team to ensure effective management of Name Screening alerts and related processes.
Work closely with Business Units to facilitate the collection of data for regulatory and management reporting.
Assist in managing AML/CFT related internal / external examinations / audits.
Contribute to the development and delivery of AML/CFT training programs.
Report AML/CFT related issues to management.
Support AML/CFT related ad-hoc tasks and projects.
Who you are
- A degree in a relevant field, such as law, finance, or accounting
- At least 8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or a related field. Candidate with solid system project handling experiences is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with our teams
- Knowledge of anti-money laundering and regulations, with experience in risk management and compliance
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
