Who we’re looking for
Toyota’s Service Parts Operations Toyota Production System Promotions Department is seeking a highly motivated and proactive Analyst of TPS Promotions to join our team. This role is vital in leading the Service Parts Operations (SPO) Field organization to learn and apply Toyota Production System principles to achieve operational excellence in safety, quality, cost, and customer service. You will support Supply Chain network field locations—including Parts Distribution Centers (PDC’s), Parts Centers (PC’s), and 3rd Party Logistics partners (3PLs)—by developing, standardizing, and governing operational processes and kaizen activities that drive productivity improvements and labor cost Key Performance Indicator enhancements aligned with SPO Field Annual Plan objectives.
Reporting directly to the TPS Promotions Department Manager, you will be responsible for executing the department’s Annual Plan strategy, facilitating network-wide improvement activities, and collaborating cross-functionally to promote continuous improvement and self-reliance across the SPO network. We are looking for a leader who embraces Toyota’s values, demonstrates strong project management and communication skills, and is committed to fostering a culture of operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing
Support Senior Analysts in process improvement, project development and implementation across the PC’s, PDC’s & 3PL’s.
Support labor and cost initiatives through “Gentani” (consumption rate) studies, Kaizen (continuous improvement) & Jishuken (autonomous study group) activity support.
Support business case development for team and network projects.
Work with Facility Process Design, Real Estate & Facilities, PDCs/PCs, business partners, and Strategy and Network teams to identify standards to ensure they are incorporated into project designs.
Support “Yokoten” (horizontal deployment) of warehouse distribution kaizen and standards across field locations to ensure implementation with tracking through BPAKS (Best Practices & Kaizen Sharing).
Prepare and present materials and/or data for training, presentations, conferences, kaizen’s, etc.
Development and monthly management of department expense budget.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations management, supply chain, logistics, industrial engineering, and/or 2+ years of experience in service parts distribution / lean distribution or equivalent work experience.
Consensus building and management communication experience.
Proven experience with developing project schedules, managing status, and reporting to management.
Strong relationship-building/people skills/ability to influence team members in both small and larger groups.
Demonstrated application of Standard Work, Time Study, Gentani, MIFC (Material & Information Flow Chart), TBP (Toyota Business Practice), JKK (Ji Koutei-Kanketsu or “Own Process Completion”) & A3 report writing in process improvement or process development.
Ability to work varied shift hours as required.
Microsoft office proficiency required.
Ability to travel 50% of the time.
Added bonus if you have
Experience using AutoCAD, Power BI, BPAKS and Alteryx/Tableau.
Capital and expense budget planning experience.
Responded effectively, innovatively, and timely to meet operational needs.
Supply Chain fulfillment or NAMC (North American Manufacturing Company) manufacturing experience.
