Overview

Mastercard's Community Institutions team is launching Team Catalyst, an innovative new account management model designed to redefine how we partner with our longer-tail customers.

As customer expectations evolve and operational complexity increases, we are transforming from a traditional one-to-one account management structure to an agile, team-based model that enables us to deliver deeper expertise, greater consistency, and broader access to Mastercard's capabilities.

Team Catalyst is an incubation team focused on building the future of customer partnership and engagement. We are challenging conventional approaches, creating scalable strategies, leveraging data and automation, and finding new ways to bring the full power of Mastercard to our customers.

This role offers a unique opportunity to help design, build, and scale a new model while directly influencing customer growth, experience, and operational excellence across a portfolio of Community Institution customers.

The Role

As an Analyst, Account Management on Team Catalyst, you will manage a portfolio of Community Institution customers and help deliver an exceptional Mastercard experience.

You will build customer relationships, identify opportunities for growth, support business initiatives, and partner across Mastercard to address customer needs. Working within a highly collaborative team environment, you will help customers maximize the value of their Mastercard partnership while contributing to Team Catalyst's innovative account management model.

Key Responsibilities

Manage: Serve as the primary relationship manager for a portfolio of Community Institution customers, building trusted partnerships and supporting customer success.

Grow: Identify opportunities to expand customer engagement and adoption of Mastercard products, services, and solutions.

Advise: Develop an understanding of customer priorities, challenges, and goals to provide relevant recommendations and support.

Execute: Lead day-to-day account management activities, including customer communications, action planning, issue resolution, and follow-up.

Collaborate: Partner with teams across Product, Services, Technology, Operations, Marketing, and Sales to deliver solutions and address customer needs.

Support: Assist with renewals, pricing requests, presentations, business cases, and other commercial activities.

Educate: Deliver customer engagement activities including webinars, office hours, portfolio communications, and customer education programs.

Improve: Contribute ideas and process improvements that enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and team performance.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. New York City, New York: $72,000 - $115,000 USD
